A point-of-sale system may include a payment device, having an EMV chip card reader, a magnetic stripe card reader, a near field communication (“NFC”) reader, wherein the payment device is in electrical communication with the controller board and in a third void region of the weather resistant shell. A point-of-sale system may also include a wireless radio module in electrical communication with the controller board and in a fourth void region of the weather resistant shell.

摘要: Barcode reader and cradle assemblies for inductive charging include a reader for capturing at least one image of an object and a cradle that retains the reader. The reader includes a head portion including an opening at least partially defining the FOV, a handle portion, a foot portion forming a tapered foot region, a rechargeable power source coupled with the reader to be electrically charged and to supply an electric charge to power the reader, and a first coil positioned within or around the tapered foot region coupled with the rechargeable power source. The cradle includes a body portion including a tapered body region and a second coil positioned therewithin or therearound that generates an oscillating electromagnetic field in response to an alternating current. The tapered foot region removably couples with the tapered body region to retain the reader. When the reader is retained within the cradle, at least one of the first or second coils is nested within the other of the coils.

An RFID reader (4), a kit (5) and a method for transmitting a message from a device (1) to a reader (4) as a RF backscattered radiation (2) in response to an impinging RF signal (41).

摘要: A method and wireless device with a counterpart presence detector is provided. The detector includes only memory and logic circuits to detect a change in a ringing artifact from the presence of a RF device. The memory stores template signals and threshold values. The template signals may be generated using a metal object positioned various distances from the RF device. The ringing artifact, also called an RF-off signal, is sampled. A difference between subsequent ringing artifact samples is taken to produce a ringing artifact difference. Also, a difference between subsequent samples of a template signal is taken to produce a template difference. A Euclidean distance between the ringing artifact difference and the template difference is determined. The distance is compared to a threshold value. A presence of another RF device within the RF field of the RF device is detected if the distance compares favorably to the threshold value.

摘要: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE receives, from a first reader device, multiple continuous wave (CW) signal sets. Each CW signal set of the multiple CW signal sets includes at least one CW signal. The UE further generates a set of reference signals corresponding to CW signals in the multiple CW signal sets, where the set of reference signals is generated based on at least one of a frequency spread or a frequency shift on the CW signals in the multiple CW signal sets. The UE further transmits, to the first reader device or a second reader device different from the first reader device, the set of reference signals corresponding to the multiple CW signal sets. The method allows for improved channel estimation while adhering to the power spectrum density (PSD) limitations.

摘要: An image forming device capable of reducing resources related to destruction of a wireless tag is provided. The image forming device according to the present embodiment includes a reader and writer, a fixing unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The reader and writer reads information from the wireless tag. The fixing unit heats and conveys a sheet having the wireless tag. The determination unit determines a defect of the wireless tag based on a reading result of the reader and writer. If the determination unit determines that the wireless tag is defective, the control unit controls the fixing unit to increase an amount of heat applied to the wireless tag such that information cannot be read from the wireless tag.

摘要: A downloaded app controls a device to recognize whether a connected card reader is an unsupported card reader or whether an unsupported card is supplied to the connected card reader. The app automatically generates support for the unsupported card reader or unsupported card by reading the identifying information from the unsupported card reader or unsupported card, modifying an existing driver support file by adding the identifying information to the existing driver support file to create a modified driver support file, and testing the unsupported card reader or unsupported card using the modified driver support file. If the tests are successful, the app then supplies the modified driver support file to other devices separate from the printer.
