摘要： A technique is provided for wirelessly tracking valuable assets during transit via a tracking system. The tracking system includes an event sensor for generating a trigger signal upon sensing an event and a position sensing device for receiving positional information of an asset being tracked. The tracking system also includes a communication device for communicating a date, a time and received positional information to one or more monitoring stations upon being triggered by the trigger signal. The one or more monitoring stations process the information received from the tracking system to determine if the event is expected or an anomaly via an anomaly detection algorithm.

The component cooling system is positioned at least partially within the stationary portion and configured to channel a curtain of conditioned air to the electronic component.

摘要： A method and system for variable speed fan control for thermal management of a device includes disposing a first temperature sensor proximate a variable speed fan to measure an air temperature of inlet air Tair that cools the device by convection air flow. A controller is configured to compensate for changes in Tair by varying a convection coefficient (h) which is a strong function of air velocity to maintain the product of h*ΔT at a constant value, wherein ΔT is a temperature differential between the device (TAD) minus Tair. Thus, h is varied by varying air velocity by varying a speed of the variable speed fan.

摘要： A low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit includes a reference signal generator and a PLL. The reference signal generator is configured to quadruple a frequency of a first reference signal to produce a second reference signal. The PLL includes a filter coupled in series with a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), and a frequency phase detector configured to generate a first error signal based on a frequency difference between the second reference signal and a first divided VCO output signal. The PLL further includes a phase detector configured to generate a second error signal based on a phase difference between the second reference signal and a second divided VCO output signal at each rising and falling transition of the second reference signal. The PLL further includes a multiplexer configured for initially receiving the first error signal until the frequencies of the first divided VCO output signal feedback signal and the second reference signal match, and thereafter for receiving the second error signal, and to provide the first or second error signal to the filter.

摘要： The present invention is a joint assembly that enables the rapid and precise self-alignment of two portions of a pool cue. The joint assembly comprises a bushing and a pin, one coupled to each of the two cue portions, the bushing and the pin coupling in the normal male-female fashion to connect the pool cue portions. The bushing has a closed base to prevent glue from leaking into the bushing when the bushing is fastened to a portion of the pool cue. The interior of the bushing comprises a threaded region proximate to the closed base with a tapered portion where the threaded region meets a smooth bore region, and an angled entrance region between the bore region and the opening of the bushing. The pin is fastened to another portion of the pool cue and comprises a threaded head portion to engage the threaded region of the bushing.
