摘要: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for optimally performing stress testing against big data management systems. A set of random test queries is generated and compiled to determine the data points of the features (e.g., table type being queried) of the set of random test queries. A distance (e.g., Mahalanobis distance) is then measured between the data points of the features and the mean of a distribution of data points corresponding to each same feature of an extracted feature set. Each random test query whose distance exceeds a threshold distance is then ranked. The ranked random test queries are then executed in order of rank. Those executed random test queries which resulted in an error (e.g., system failure) are added to a log, which is used to identify those queries to perform a stress test against the big data management system.

摘要: In an approach to improve the extraction of test datasets for testing and resource optimization, embodiments execute a test run on a full dataset of a job, and identify existing bottlenecks in the job through a run-time monitoring interface. Additionally, embodiments execute a run-time metrics analysis, a source code analysis, and a source data impact analysis of a distributed data processing engine executing a distributed data processing job, and generate, by an analysis and impact scoring engine, an impact scoring table of job transformations based on the source code analysis. Furthermore, embodiments generate data extraction rules based on the impact scoring table, and extract a test dataset based on the data extraction rules. Moreover, embodiments evaluate the data extraction rules against user defined thresholds, and prepare a representative test dataset, and output, through a user interface on a computing device, the representative test dataset to a user.

摘要: Technologies for switching network traffic include a network switch. The network switch includes one or more processors and communication circuitry coupled to the one or more processors. The communication circuity is capable of switching network traffic of multiple link layer protocols. Additionally, the network switch includes one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed, cause the network switch to receive, with the communication circuitry through an optical connection, network traffic to be forwarded, and determine a link layer protocol of the received network traffic. The instructions additionally cause the network switch to forward the network traffic as a function of the determined link layer protocol. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要: Systems and methods can be configured to determine a plurality of computing resource configurations used to perform machine learning model training jobs. A computing resource configuration can comprise: a first tuple including numbers of worker nodes and parameter server nodes, and a second tuple including resource allocations for the worker nodes and parameter server nodes. At least one machine learning training job can be executed using a first computing resource configuration having a first set of values associated with the first tuple. During the executing the machine learning training job: resource usage of the worker nodes and parameter server nodes caused by a second set of values associated with the second tuple can be monitored, and whether to adjust the second set of values can be determined. Whether a stopping criterion is satisfied can be determined. One of the plurality of computing resource configurations can be selected.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for capturing workloads in a multidimensional database environment. Workloads in the multidimensional database environment can be captured over a period of time as an archive file, which can be replayed using a standalone player against the same multidimensional database environment, or a different multidimensional database environment. The standalone player can selectively replay any portion of the archive file. Results from the replay can be compared to original base results in the recorded archive; and any difference between the results can be displayed. The player can filter out noise and expected differences, and display unexpected differences, including paths for potential issues, for use in troubleshooting, and environment and patching validation.

The processor may simulate the at least one test application in a non-production environment for a plurality of infrastructure configurations to generate a plurality of test performance results. The processor may evaluate the plurality of test performance results to identify an optimal infrastructure configuration from among the plurality of infrastructure configurations for the application profile. The processor may apply the optimal infrastructure configuration to an application corresponding to the application profile that is deployed in a production environment.

The method includes generating a set of training data from received user interaction data, inputting the set of training data to a machine learning model to train the model, generating a set of user interest scores for the particular user that each indicate a user's interest in accessing information corresponding to a UI element of the application, determining, from the user interest scores, that the user is interested in a particular UI element that was not included in the initial UI and has at least a threshold score, dynamically modifying the initial UI to include the particular UI element, presenting the updated UI, monitoring further user interactions, updating the model based on the further user interactions, and modifying the updated UI based on the updated model.
