Abstract:
An input apparatus of a display apparatus, a display system, and a control method thereof, are provided herein, the input apparatus including: a communication unit which communicates with the display apparatus; a sensing unit which detects angular speed and acceleration from a motion of the input apparatus; a storage unit which stores position information on a position of the input apparatus; and a controller which calculates the motion information based on the detected angular speed and the position information and transmits the calculated motion information through the communication unit if the input apparatus moves, and updates the position information in the storage unit based on the detected acceleration if the input apparatus does not move.
Abstract:
A pointing device calculates a current position of the pointing device based on a point of time at which an incident signal is sensed, and compensates the current position based on a deviation of position of the pointing device which is calculated using the current position of the pointing device. Accordingly, a problem on the GUI caused by position distortion of the pointing device is minimized.
Abstract:
A control method includes: receiving a user's input through a touch area of the input device; and recognizing the user's touch input to the touch area through a recognition area of the input device corresponding to the touch area and changing and assigning a range of the recognition area corresponding to the touch area according to a predetermined standard.
Abstract:
A display apparatus and a display method capable of controlling cursor movement are disclosed. The display apparatus includes an input unit which receives an input cursor movement command, a display unit which displays at least one object and a cursor on a screen and moves the cursor according to the cursor movement command, and a control unit which controls the display unit to automatically move the cursor to a target point that corresponds to a direction of movement of the cursor within the object in response to the cursor moving into a range that is set on the basis of the object. Accordingly, a user can select and execute a specified object through an easy and convenient operation.
Abstract:
An electronic chalkboard system, a control method thereof, and a pointing device are provided. The electronic chalkboard system includes a plurality of display panels; a pointing device which calculates coordinate information about a touched position based on a reference signal generated on the display panels when touching a first panel among the display panels; and an image processor which generates a signal differently set with respect to each of the display panels on the display panels to determine the first panel among the display panels and displays an image corresponding to the coordinate information calculated by the pointing device on the first panel.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic chalkboard system including: a display device including a display panel; image processor which displays an image corresponding to the coordinate information onto the display panel; and a plurality of pointing devices, wherein each pointing device respectively calculates coordinate information about a touch position if the respective pointing device touches the display panel and transmits the calculated coordinate information to the image processor at a predetermined transmission time of the calculating of the calculated coordinate information, wherein a first pointing device transmits first coordinate information corresponding to a first touch position of the first pointing device to the image processor at a first transmission time, and wherein a second pointing device transmits second coordinate information corresponding to a second touch position of the second pointing device to the image processor at a second transmission time which is different from the first transmission time.
Abstract:
An apparatus which adaptively adjusts a filtering coefficient according to motion data and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus sets a filtering coefficient according to motion data, and performs low pass filtering on the motion data according to the set filtering coefficient. Accordingly, a cutoff frequency may be adaptively changed according to moving velocity of a user and thus optimum motion data which are filtered irrespective of movement may be generated.
Abstract:
A geomagnetic sensor with 3-axis acceleration sensors is provided. The geomagnetic sensor a geomagnetic measurement module including flux gates of X, Y and Z axes mutually crossing at right angles, a tilt measurement module including acceleration sensors of X, Y and Z axes mutually crossing at right angles, a tilt calculator primarily calculating a pitch angle and a roll angle using output values of each acceleration sensors of the X and Y axes, and performing second calculation by adjusting at least one of the primarily calculated pitch angle and roll angle using an output value of the acceleration sensor of the Z axis, and a controller calculating an azimuth using the readjusted pitch angle and roll angle and an output value of the geomagnetic measurement module. Accordingly, the pitch angle and roll angle are precisely measured to calculate the azimuth.
Abstract:
A method for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) using a pointer having a visual effect showing that the pointer is moved by gravity is provided. If the pointer is determined to be placed on a first area, the pointer is moved according to user's manipulation, and if the pointer is determined to be placed on a second area, the pointer is moved to another position. Accordingly, convenience and entertainment are provided to the user who manipulates the pointer.
