    摘要: An electronic device is configured to determine a location of a stylus with respect to a display screen dependent upon first and second timing signals. A change in state of a reference pixel cell is detected using a photodetector located in close proximity to the reference pixel cell and a change in state of a pixel cell in proximity to the stylus, in response to a stylus photodetector signal received from a photodetector of the stylus. The location of the stylus with respect to the display screen is determined from the time difference between the change in state of the reference pixel cell and the change in state of the pixel cell in proximity to the stylus.

    摘要: A display device is applied to a light sensing system. The display device includes a display module and a pattern layer. The pattern layer is made of optical material capable of either fully or partially reflecting or absorbing invisible light of specific wavelength emitted from the display module, and is formatted on the display module, thus defining gaps through which invisible light can pass. A light sensor is utilized to sense the pre-determined pattern defined by the invisible light passing through the pattern layer. Based on the light sensing result, the light sensor can recognize the corresponding pattern. The optical material of the pattern layer may be arranged to incorporate locational varying invisible light transmittance to define the pre-determined pattern at a finer degree, thus further increasing sensing accuracy.

The control device is configured to sequentially have a plurality of reference directions and an operating direction, the plurality of reference directions defines a reference direction range corresponding to the geometric reference, and the operating direction and the reference direction range have a relationship therebetween. The processing unit generates a plurality of patterns associated with the first pattern in the plurality of reference directions, respectively, estimates the reference direction range according to the plurality of reference directions and the plurality of patterns, and controls the operation of the screen by estimating the relationship.

    摘要: A display device is applied to a light sensing system. The display device includes a display module and a pattern layer. The pattern layer is made of optical material and formatted on the display module. The pattern layer includes patterned optical material and gaps without optical material. The pattern layer selectively reflects or absorbs invisible light with specific wavelength emitted from the display module, such that a light sensor cannot sense the invisible light reflected or absorbed by the optical material or just can sense a little invisible light through the optical material. However, the invisible light can be emitted out of the gaps without the optical material, such that the light sensor can selectively sense the invisible light. Based on the light sensing result, the light sensor can recognize the corresponding pattern.

    摘要: A remote control for controlling a computer using a screen of a television is disclosed. The television receives a video signal from the computer, and a remote control receiver is connecting to the computer. The remote control includes a body member, a light-scope, a photo detector, an electromagnetic emitter, and a mouse button. The light-scope includes a lens system defining a narrow field of view and receives a light signal emitted from an aiming point on the screen of the television as pointed by the light-scope. The photo detector detects the light signal received by the light-scope. The electromagnetic emitter sends back to the remote control receiver a communicating electromagnetic signal communicating the timing that a light signal is emitted from the aiming point. The computer can display a cursor at the aiming point.
