摘要: A method of forming an imaging fibre apparatus comprises arranging rods to form a plurality of stacks each comprising a respective plurality of rods, wherein: for each stack, the respective plurality of rods comprises rods having different core sizes, the rods of different core sizes being arranged in a selected arrangement, and the rods of different core sizes being arranged such that each stack has a respective selected shape; wherein the selected shape or shapes are such that the stacks stack together in a desired arrangement; the method further comprising: drawing each of the plurality of stacks; stacking together the plurality of drawn stacks together in the desired arrangement to form a further stack; drawing the further stack; and using the drawn further stack to form an imaging fibre apparatus, wherein the selected arrangement of the rods in each stack and the selected shape or shapes of the stacks are such that the further stack comprises a repeating pattern of rods of different core sizes.

摘要: The invention relates to a functional wound dressing being able to detect and indicate the state of the wound, in particular with regard to infections for example caused by toxins produced by bacteria such Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The present wound dressing can be used in moist wound healing and contains a substance being able to absorb wound exudate from the wound and to provide moisture to the wound.

摘要: A method for determining a flight path for an aircraft system, for example an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) comprises analysing an intensity map relating to a three dimensional space. The intensity map comprises an array of voxels, each voxel defining a volume in the three dimensional space, and each voxel having a related traffic intensity value based on historical flight data through that voxel. The method comprises determining a probability of an encounter for a preferred flight path between a start point and an end point via one or more voxels in the three dimensional space, based on traffic intensity values of the one or more voxels along the preferred flight path. The preferred flight path is selected if the probability of encounter is less than a first threshold value.

摘要: A polymerisation process is disclosed, the process having the steps of providing an oxetane derivative of a monosaccharide, providing an anionic initiator, forming a reaction mixture comprising the oxetane derivative of the monosaccharide and the anionic initiator, and initiating ring opening polymerisation reaction of the oxetane moiety of the oxetane derivative of the monosaccharide in the reaction mixture, thereby producing a polyether. The monosaccharide may be pentose or a hexose or a derivative of a pentose or hexose. The pentose may be xylose, in D or L form, or a mixture of D and L form. The hexose may be a derivative of galactose. Also disclosed are polyurethanes being a reaction product of an isocyanate and a polyether.
