Abstract:
An input signal is coupled via a capacitor to a base of a transistor which constitutes a differential amplifier with another transistor. The base of the transistors are respectively fed with first and second predetermined voltages via a pair of transistors so that the differential amplifier produces an output signal proportional to the difference between the peak value of the input signal and a predetermined value only when the peak to peak value of the input signal exceeds a predetermined voltage.
Abstract:
A variable frequency oscillator comprises an oscillating loop and a variable phase shifter for imparting one of two different phase shifts depending upon the polarities of a DC control voltage to a signal from the oscillating loop. The phase-shifted signal has its amplitude controlled by the amplitude of the control voltage and is combined with the signal in the oscillating loop. The vector sum of the combined signals determines the phase angle of the oscillator signal and hence the frequency thereof.

A liquid developer includes: an aqueous medium; and a magnetic toner which is substantially dispersed in the aqueous medium and includes a polymer compound and a magnetic powder, the amount of the magnetic powder being from about 0.2 volume % to about 5 volume % with respect to the magnetic toner.
Abstract:
A memory device is composed of a memory array including floating gate memory cells; a sense amplifier designed to identify data stored in the memory array; and a reference current setting unit responsive to a trimming code for providing a reference current for the sense amplifier. The trimming code is defined as being all-0 for a reference current level to identify data stored in the memory array as logic “1”, and is defined as being all-1 for a reference current level to identify data stored in the memory array as logic “0”.
Abstract:
In a color television receiver adapted to receive a color television signal containing vertical interval reference (VIR) signals, a VIR correction circuit is provided to automatically control the hue and color saturation of the received broadcast signal, which may also be coupled to a video tape recorder of the type in which adjacent field signals are recorded with their respective record tracks being skewed relative to each other to permit elimination of otherwise required guardbands between adjacent field tracks. The recorded video signal is reproduced by mixing adjacent horizontal line signals to reduce crosstalk level. A disabling circuit is provided to disable the VIR correction circuit when the receiver is switched to the output of the video tape recorder in playback mode to prevent false VIR signals due to the mixing from affecting the reproduced colors.
