This object is achieved by an Ni-based single crystal super alloy having a composition comprising 5.0-7.0 wt % of Al, 4.0-10.0 wt % of Ta, 1.1-4.5 wt % of Mo, 4.0-10.0 wt % of W, 3.1-8.0 wt % of Re, 0-0.50 wt % of Hf, 2.0-5.0 wt % of Cr, 0-9.9 wt % of Co and 4.1-14.0 wt % of Ru in terms of its weight ratio, with the remainder consisting of Ni and unavoidable impurities. Furthermore, in this Ni-based single crystal super alloy, when lattice constant of matrix is taken to be a1 and lattice constant of precipitation phase is taken to be a2, a2≦0.999a1.
Abstract:
A face data registration apparatus is an apparatus to register dictionary data for walker authentication by use of a face image. The face data registration apparatus causes a posture data collection unit to collect posture variation data from a plurality of face images obtained by photographing a face of a registrant whose posture (face direction) is changed, further causes a walking data collection unit to collect walking data from a face image obtained by photographing a face of the registrant who actually walks along a passage, causes a synthesizing unit to create dictionary data by synthesizing posture variation data and walking data and registers the created dictionary data as dictionary data used to authenticate a person who walks in the passage by face collation into a dictionary data unit.
Abstract:
In a person retrieval apparatus, a plurality of extraction processing sections each extract personal biometric information from images taken by a plurality of cameras. A quality determination section determines a quality of each piece of biometric information extracted by the extraction processing sections. A reliability level setting section sets a reliability level to each piece of biometric information on the basis of the quality determined by the quality determination section. The biometric information extracted by the extraction processing sections and the reliability level set by the reliability level setting section are stored in a memory. In this state, in the person retrieval apparatus, the face retrieval section performs person retrieval processing on each piece of biometric information stored in the memory in descending order of the reliability level corresponding to each piece of biometric information.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to obtain an ingot containing homogeneous ingredients with suppressing ingredient segregation of Y in the melt-production of an Mg alloy containing Y.An ingot is formed in a solidification time of not more than 200 seconds after an Mg alloy containing Y is melted. The above solidification is desirably performed after the melt liquid of the Mg alloy is stirred and left standing. The above Mg alloy, for example, contains Y in an amount of 0.5 to 20% by weight. There is an advantage that an Mg alloy having low ingredient segregation and containing homogeneous ingredients is obtained. Therefore, in the production of alloys whose performance considerably varies depending on the ingredient concentration, such as functional materials, high-quality products can be produced in good yield rates. In order to achieve the above object, specifically, the raw material is melted in a melting furnace and, after melt drop, the melt liquid is sufficiently stirred and left standing. Thereafter, it is cast into a mold designed so that solidification is completed within the above-defined solidification time. Moreover, it is also possible to shorten the solidification time by casting the melt liquid into a sufficiently water-cooled mold.
Abstract:
A reaction control turbine blade is formed by applying a reaction control material to the surface of an Ni-base superalloy before applying aluminum diffusion coating to the Ni-base superalloy. The reaction control material is Co, Cr or Ru, or an alloy of which main component is selected from a group consisting of Co, Cr, Ru. Thereby, it is possible to enhance the oxidation resistance of the Ni-base superalloy, and to control formation of a secondary reaction zone.
Abstract:
There is provided a laser welded joint structure for a flare groove joint, wherein a flat portion 4 for forming a square-like groove in the flare groove is formed at a beam-injected portion of the flare groove on at least one side of welded members 1 and 2. There is also provided a gas generator comprising the above-described laser welded joint structure.

Abstract:
An image processing apparatus executes acquiring, on a first image having a pattern having first areas and second areas that have a different color from the first areas, center position of the pattern where the first areas and the second areas cross, acquiring boundary positions between the first and second area, converting the first image to a second image having its image distortion corrected by using the center position and the boundary positions, acquiring, by scanning on the second image, expectation values which are areas including the point where the first and second areas cross excluding the center position, acquiring a intersection position of the intersection on the second image based on the expectation values, acquiring the center position and the positions on the first image corresponding to the intersection position by inverting the second image to the first image, determining the points corresponding to the acquired positions as features.
Abstract:
An inventive method for coherent interleaved polarization-multiplexing PolMux optical communications with a single IQ modulator includes modulating a light source to generate a 50% return-to-zero RZ signal pulse at a frequency Rs, driving a single IQ modulator with inphase I and quadrature phase Q data at a bit rate of sais Rs to introduce phase modulation on said 50% RZ signal pulse to produce a QPSK pulse signal with all symbols being in a same polarization state without any time overlapping; and polarization modulating said QPSK signal to alternatively convert said QPSK signal into two orthogonal polarizations states enabling an interleaving PolMux signal with a symbol rate of Rs/2.
