Abstract: An electrode plate has a first end surface in a first direction and a second end surface in a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction. At least one of the first end surface and the second end surface has a shaped surface. The shaped surface has a partial region deviating from a reference plane along a third direction. Abstract: A battery cell includes a housing, an end cap, an electrode assembly, and an insulator. An opening is created on the housing. The end cap is configured to fit and cover the opening.
