    摘要: A computer enclosure includes a chassis (10), a resilient clip (30), and a cover (50). The chassis defines at least a through hole (16). An outer surface (13) and an inner surface (15) are defined on the chassis. The cover is secured to the chassis. The resilient clip is secured to the inner surface of the chassis. At least a finger (34) is formed on the resilient clip. The finger projects from the through hole and abuts against the cover for shielding EMI. The cover is electrically contacted with the chassis through the resilient clip. Which not only further secures the cover firmly to the chassis but also prevents EMI leaking from the chassis.

The through holes each include a circular hole (622), and a slot (624). The standoffs each comprise a head (42), a neck (44), and a base (46). The clips each include a shoulder (367, 387), and a catch (366, 386). The standoffs and the clips engage the through hole and the apertures of the supporting plate to attach the motherboard in the chassis. A stud extends through the fixing hole and engages the screw hole to secure the motherboard in the chassis.

    摘要: An optical signal transmitter is disclosed that transmits an optical signal with corresponding Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) channels and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) channels. The transmitter is comprised of a laser, a dispersion system, and a modulator. The laser generates and transmits a narrow laser pulse comprised of a plurality of wavelength channels. The dispersion system broadens the narrow laser pulse into a wide laser pulse. The modulator modulates the wide laser pulse based on an electric modulation signal comprised of a plurality of time slot channels wherein the time slot channels in the electric modulation signal correspond to the wavelength channels in the wide laser pulse respectively. The modulator transfers a modulated wide laser pulse. Channels of the modulated wide laser pulse are hybrid wavelength and time slot channels. The transmitter singularly transmits a WDM optical signal comprised of multiple wavelength channels. The transmitter also allows a filter to drop time slot channels from a TDM optical signal instead of an expensive demultiplexer.

    摘要: An optical signal transmitter is disclosed that transmits an optical signal with corresponding Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) channels and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) channels.     摘要: A system for reducing the influence of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in high speed fiber optical transmission channels. A signal is forward error correction (FEC) encoded according to an FEC code that defines a specified error tolerance per codeword. The invention then effectively randomizes the input polarization of the signal before transmission, in order to reduce the likelihood that PMD will distort one or more codewords beyond the allowed error tolerance. The invention will thereby increase the PMD-limited transmission distance in an optical transmission system.

    摘要: An electronic device includes an enclosure, a bracket, a connector, and a fan. The enclosure includes a bottom plate and two side plates located on the bottom plate. The bracket is secured to the side plates and includes a bottom wall. The bottom wall is substantially parallel to the bottom plate and defines an installing opening. Two locking pieces extend from two opposite edges of the installing opening. Each of the locking pieces defines a locking hole. The connector is secured in the installing opening, the connector comprising two resilient portions. A locking protrusion protrudes from each of the resilient portions. The locking protrusions of the resilient portions engage in the locking holes of the locking pieces. The resilient portions are deformable to disengage the locking protrusions from the locking holes. The fan is received in the bracket and adapted to be electrically coupled to the connector.
