摘要: A method is provided for treating a drug-dependent individual so as to effect withdrawal from a drug of abuse, e.g., an opiate such as heroin or oxycodone, a stimulant such as cocaine, or alcohol. The method involves substitution therapy wherein a substantially nonaddicting normorphine or norcodeine derivative is substituted for the drug of abuse. The active agent has the structure of formula (I) wherein: R is H, alkyl, or acyl; X is CH(OR′) or C═O, wherein R′ is H or acyl; α is an optional double bond, with the proviso that when α is present, then X is necessarily CH(OH), or an acid addition salt thereof, wherein preferred such agents are in a stereoisomerically pure form that corresponds to that of N-[(1R)-1-cyclopropylethyl]-normorphine (1) which melts at approximately 188° C.-189° C.

摘要: A single lens or optical system is used to image two different optical bands, for example visible and infrared, with the same possible adjustments in zoom and/or focus. A dual band singlet is formed of a first, larger, optical element, suitable for operating on light of a first optical band, with an aperture cut out of it. A smaller element, suitable for operating on light of a second optical band, is secured in, or on either side of, the aperture cut through the larger optical element, thus forming a dual band singlet that can operate on two different wavelength bands. Combinations of dual band lenses, lens elements, and lenses with cut-out apertures are used to form dual-band optical systems, including systems with dual-band focus and zoom.

摘要: A semiconductor wafer holding assembly that secures a semiconductor wafer for wafer handling by a semiconductor processing machine. The wafer holding assembly includes a clamp ring that is mounted to a support frame and that has a wafer-engaging surface. A plurality of latch assemblies are mounted about the periphery of the clamp ring and adjacent to the wafer-engaging surface. Each latch assembly includes a latch body that carries a clamping roller assembly and a supporting roller assembly. A rolling element of the supporting roller assembly rolls along a circular path on an inclined surface on the clamp ring as the latch body is rotated through a pivot arc between an unlatched position and a latched position. Unless the latch body is positioned in the latched position, the rolling engagement between the supporting roller assembly and the inclined surface suspends the rolling element of the clamping roller assembly above the wafer surface until the latch body is in the latched position. When the latch body is in the latched position, the rolling element of each clamping roller assembly contacts the wafer surface with a clamping force sufficient to secure the semiconductor wafer in the wafer holder.

摘要: The present invention provides a system for automatically reconstituting a drug in-line and delivering the drug to a patient. Pursuant to the present invention, a system is provided that allows fluid entry into a vial, that houses the drug to be reconstituted, with concurrent air elimination. Mixing via different fluid entry levels is provided. Due to the unique fluid flow path of the present invention reconstitution of the drug is ensured. The system, method, and apparatus of the present invention can be utilized with a computer controlled pump. When so utilized, a completely automated procedure can be achieved.
