摘要: The invention is characterized by efficiently and quickly loosening an aggregation of toner material formed in a toner cartridge. A toner cartridge has an L-shaped toner agitating member disposed in a main body thereof having a discharge port for feeding toner at the front surface of the main body. Since the toner agitating member is supported so as to pivot like a conical pendulum, a support pin fixed to a bottom surface of the main body passes through a through hole having a greater diameter than that of the support pin. The support pin has an engagement portion attached thereto for prevention of disengagement of the toner agitating member therefrom. A plate-like portion of the toner agitating member defines an agitating plate, a distal end of which extends toward the discharge port of the main body. Shaking the toner cartridge causes the agitating member to rotate about the support pin and to pivot in a direction parallel to the axis of the support pin like a conical pendulum, thereby efficiently loosening the aggregated toner material.

摘要: In a fuel supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine, asynchronous fuel supply or injection is effected in addition to synchronous fuel injection so as to increase fuel amount on acceleration. In order to reduce time lag for supplying additional fuel, the opening degree and opening speed of a throttle valve of the engine are detected, and additional fuel supply by way of asynchronous fuel injection is effected whenever it is determined that the state of the throttle valve represents a state where fuel increase is required. Asynchronous fuel supply is then stopped when the opening degree of the throttle valve reaches an upper limit determined by the detected opening speed of the throttle valve, thereby avoiding application of excessively rich mixture.

摘要: An intake pipe of an internal combustion engine is formed with an air passageway so as to bypass a throttle valve portion and an air control valve to control the amount of the air flowing through this passageway is provided for this air passageway. This control valve is constituted so as to drive an actuator in accordance with the amount of an exciting current and thereby to control the amount of the air which flows through this passageway. An exciting coil of this control valve is heated and controlled by the cooling water of the internal combustion engine. When the internal combustion engine is in the idle operation state and also in the feedback control state, the temperature of the cooling water is detected. In the case where this temperature falls within a specified range, a correction value of a control amount for feedback control to allow the present rotating speed of the internal combustion engine to approach the idle objective rotating speed is calculated and stored. A control amount for open loop control subsequent to this feedback control state is calculated on the basis of this correction value stored.

摘要: A closed-loop mixture control system for an internal combustion engine comprises an intake air pressure sensor, an engine speed sensor, an exhaust gas sensor for detecting the concentration of a predetermined composition of exhaust emissions from said engine, said concentration varying as a function of the air-fuel ratio of a mixture supplied to the engine, a memory having a plurality of storage locations, and a data processor. The processor derives a basic quantity of fuel to be injected to the engine as a function of the detected pressure and engine speed, a mixture trimming value as a function of the detected concentration, a fuel injection trimming value dependent on the mixture trimming value, and stores the fuel injection trimming value into a memory location exclusively addressable as a function of the detected engine speed. The stored fuel injection trimming value is read as a function of the detected engine speed from the memory and summed with the basic quantity in response to which the fuel quantity to be injected to the engine is controlled.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation passage connects an exhaust passage with an intake passage. A cooling device is mounted to the exhaust gas recirculation passage for cooling exhaust gas in the exhaust gas recirculation passage. An EGR valve adjusts a flow passage area of the exhaust gas recirculation passage. An exhaust gas quantity (EGR quantity) in the exhaust gas recirculation passage is feedback-controlled by manipulating an opening degree of the EGR valve based on a measurement value of an airflow meter. Existence or nonexistence of an abnormality in the cooling device is diagnosed based on whether a measurement value of the opening degree of the EGR valve contains a component corresponding to compensation for reduction of the EGR quantity due to degradation of cooling performance of the cooling device.

摘要: For realizing a satisfactory and stable developing process, the charge state of a developer and the density of toner particles contained in the developer is kept constant in the developing process. A developing roller to be driven rotationally is provided in a developing tank containing a developer. The developer is sucked magnetically using the magnetic force of a magnet provided in a developing sleeve composing the developing roller. The developer is then fed into a developing area opposed to a photosensitive member, then collected into the developing tank after the developing process is ended. The magnet is composed of an odd number of magnetic poles; developing pole, feeding pole, magnetic force distribution adjusting pole, developer sucking pole, developer separating pole, auxiliary collecting pole, and collecting pole. Between the sucking pole and the developing pole, an even number of poles are disposed. Between the developing pole and the separating pole are disposed an even number of poles. Consequently, the developer used for visualizing an image is separated while it is stuck on the developing sleeve when the developer is separated at the separating pole. When the developer is replaced, sticking of toner on the developing sleeve can be reduced significantly. In addition, the supplied developer is fixed in both toner density and charging level at the developing pole in developing.

摘要: Impurities contained in a developer are captured and prevented from mixing into the developer again, thereby to avoid lowering of image quality due to the impurities. Such impurities include aggregates of the developer formed in a developing apparatus, insufficiently charged toner particles, defectively charged toner particles having an opposite polarity to a predetermined polarity, and defective carrier particles lacking in strength for being held by a developing magnet roller. A recess is provided between peaks of magnetism located in a lower portion of a developing magnet roller. The recess has an air pressure substantially equal to an air pressure (atmospheric pressure) in the developing apparatus, so that air in the developing apparatus and the recess does not flow only in one direction. Impurities contained in the developer circulating around the developing roller cannot be magnetically held in the lower half of the developing roller because of centrifugal force and gravity. Consequently, the impurities are separated and collected in the recess.
