摘要： An apparatus, system, and method manage a transmission antenna system by measuring an antenna performance indicator of an alternate antenna configuration during a reduced data rate transmission. After an antenna performance indicator is measured in a current (first) antenna system configuration, the antenna system is configured to an alternate (second) configuration during a reduced data rate transmission and the antenna performance indicator of the alternate (second) configuration is measured. The antenna performance indicators for both configurations are evaluated to determine the optimum antenna system configuration for transmission. If the alternate (second) configuration will result in decreased performance, the antenna system is changed back to the first antenna system configuration. Otherwise, the alternate (second) configuration is defined as the current configuration and the first antenna configuration is evaluated during reduced rate transmissions.

摘要： A wiring connector is provided with counterpoise shielding. The connector comprises a shell and at least one pair of contacts, supported in the shell, for passing a signal and corresponding counterpoise. Each contact has an input interface, where it mates to either a wire bundle or a circuit board, and a mating connector interface, where it mates with another connector. The connector also comprises a radiation shield comprising ferrite particles embedded in a dielectric, overlying the contact pair. In one aspect, the shell includes a housing and a dielectric interposed between the contacts and the housing. Then, the radiation shield is embedded in the dielectric. In another aspect, the radiation shield is part of the housing.

摘要： An antenna with a loop portion that arches away from the body of the mobile wireless communication device. The loop portion is connected to the mobile wireless communication device at one end and detachably connected or grounded to the mobile wireless communication device at the other end. An antenna that arches away from the body of a phone, but connects at both ends to the body of the phone has improved performance over an internal antenna, and yet retains the advantages of an internal antenna. Further, if the antenna is detachably connected to the phone at one end, then either better performance can be achieved if the antenna can be moved further away from the body of the phone, or the antenna can be used as a latch to attach the phone to slender objects.

摘要： An antenna grounding connection system is provided for wireless communication devices with two or more ground plane sections. A distance is maintained between an antenna feed and an electrical connection between the two ground plane sections. The distance is determined by the wavelength of the wireless communication signal. The distance should be at least one fifteenth of the wavelength of the wireless communication signal. In the case of a rectangular ground plane section, an antenna feed can be placed near one edge of the first ground plane section, and the electrical connection can be placed near an opposite edge of the first ground plane section.

The method comprises: effectively resonating a first antenna at a frequency selectable first channel in a first frequency band; generating a first antenna impedance at the first channel frequency; effectively resonating a second antenna at a frequency selectable second channel in the first frequency band; generating a second antenna impedance at the second channel frequency; supplying a first conjugate impedance match at the first channel frequency; and, supplying a second conjugate impedance match at the second channel frequency. For example, the first antenna may be used for transmission, while the second antenna is used for received communications. The antennas effectively resonant in response to: supplying frequency selectable conjugate impedance matches to the antennas; generating frequency selectable antenna impedances; and/or selecting the frequency of antenna resonance.
