    摘要: A planar capacitor includes, in part, a first metal line forming spiral-shaped loops around one of its end point, and a second metal line forming spiral-shaped loops between the loops of the first metal line. The first and second metal lines are coplanar, formed on an insulating layer, and form the first and second plates of the planar capacitor. The planar capacitor may be used to form a filter. Such a filter includes a first metal line forming first spiral-shaped loops, a second metal line forming second spiral-shaped loops, and a third metal line—coplanar with the first and second metal lines—forming loops between the loops of the first and second metal lines. The filter further includes a first inductor coupled between the first and third metal lines, and a second inductor coupled between the second and third metal lines.

    摘要: A variable bandwidth filter includes a first filter branch in parallel with a second filter branch. The first filter branch includes a first resistance in series with an input and a first output, and N parallel paths across the first output. The second filter branch includes a second resistance in series with the input and a second output, and N parallel paths across the second output. A clock tunes the first and second filter branches to a center frequency. A combiner produces a difference signal including a difference between the output of the first filter branch and the output of the second filter branch to provide a filter output having an adjustable bandwidth with reference to a center frequency. The bandwidth is adjusted by changing a value of at least one resistor or at least one capacitor in one or more of the first filter branch or the second filter branch.

    摘要: The disclosed invention relates to a transceiver system comprising a notch filter element configured to suppress transmitter blockers (i.e., transmitter interferer signals) within a reception path. In some embodiments, the transceiver front-end comprises a differential reception path, having a first differential branch and a second differential branch, configured to provide an RF differential input signal having a transmitter blocker to a transimpedance amplifier, comprising a first-order active filter and a notch filter element. The notch filter element comprises a stop band corresponding to a frequency of a transmitted signal, such that the notch filter element suppresses the transmitted blocker without degrading the signal quality of the received differential input signal.

For example, a tunable filter having an input node and an output node can be selectively tunable to define one or more pass bands associated with one or more first signal bands and one or more reject bands associated with one or more second signal bands. The tunable filter can be configured to pass signals having frequencies within the first signal bands between the input node and the output node and to block signals having frequencies within the second signal bands. Furthermore, the tunable filter can be configured to selectively tune the pass bands to have a minimum pass band insertion loss at any of a variety of frequencies, including frequencies that are greater than and less than frequencies within the reject bands.

    摘要: An RF filter comprises a signal transmission path having an input and an output, a plurality of resonant elements disposed along the signal transmission path between the input and the output, and a plurality of non-resonant elements coupling the resonant elements together to form a stop band having a plurality of transmission zeroes corresponding to respective frequencies of the resonant elements, and at least one sub-band between the transmission zeroes. The non-resonant elements comprise at least one variable non-resonant element for selectively introducing at least one reflection zero within the stop band to create a pass band in a selected one of the sub-band(s). The RF filter further comprises an electrical controller configured for receiving an operating temperature, and adjusting the variable non-resonant element(s) based on the received operating temperature, thereby selectively moving the reflection zero(es) along the stop band to move the pass band within the selected sub-band.
