    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: generating, by a terminal device, first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate a precoding matrix, the precoding matrix is applied to at least one antenna panel and includes at least one precoding vector, each precoding vector includes a plurality of subvectors, each subvector corresponds to an antenna port on the antenna panel and includes two polarization vectors, and each polarization vector is generated by performing weighted combination on a plurality of basis vectors; and sending the first indication information. In embodiments of this application, accuracy of a codebook can be improved.

    Abstract: This application describes a data transmission method, a terminal device, and a network device. The method may include determining, by a terminal device, a reporting type of channel state information (CSI), where the reporting type is used to indicate a relationship between CSI of a beam that is currently reported by the terminal device and CSI of a beam that is previously reported by the terminal device in a current reporting period. The method may also include sending, by the terminal device, CSI of N beams to a network device based on a reporting type and a codebook parameter, where the codebook parameter is used to indicate a quantity N of the currently reported beams, and N is an integer greater than or equal to 1. According to the data transmission method, the terminal device, and the network device described in the embodiments of this application, CSI reporting flexibility can be improved, thereby improving system performance.

    Abstract: Embodiments can provide a precoding matrix indicating method, a precoding matrix determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. In the precoding matrix indicating method, component matrices of an ideal precoding matrix and a weight of each component matrix can be determined based on at least one basic codebook. A dimension of each component matrix is the same as a dimension of the ideal precoding matrix, and a column vector of each component matrix is selected from column vectors of one of the at least one basic codebook. A precoding matrix indicator can be sent. The precoding matrix indicator can indicate the component matrices and the weight of each component matrix. With this, an ideal precoding matrix is approximately represented in a form of a weighted sum of a plurality of component matrices so that feedback overheads caused by feeding back a precoding matrix can be reduced.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a communication method and apparatus. A terminal device obtains M channel estimation results corresponding to M time units, where M is greater than 1. The terminal device performs joint compression on the M channel estimation results by using an encoder network, to obtain N pieces of compression information. The terminal device sends the N pieces of compression information to an access network device. Because the terminal device performs joint compression, correlation between downlink channels at different time points is fully utilized. The access network device recovers the N pieces of compression information obtained through joint compression, so that more accurate and effective downlink channel information can be obtained.

    Abstract: A communication method and apparatus. A terminal device determines channel state information based on S indexes of S vectors. Each of the S vectors is included in a first vector quantization dictionary. The first vector quantization dictionary includes N1 vectors, where N1 and S are both positive integers. The terminal device sends the channel state information to a network device. Because a vector included in the vector quantization dictionary usually has a relatively large dimension, quantizing channel information by using the first vector quantization dictionary is equivalent to performing dimension expansion on the channel information or maintaining a relatively high dimension. High-precision feedback is implemented by using relatively low signaling overheads.

The method includes: performing channel measurement based on a downlink reference signal from a network device, and reporting a measurement result to the network device. The measurement result indicates T resource elements and a superposition coefficient, and the resource element is determined based on at least one of the following base vectors: a time domain base vector and a receive side spatial domain base vector, and T is an integer greater than 0. In embodiments of this application, a channel feature of a channel in an angle domain can be more accurately indicated by using the receive side spatial domain base vector, and a time variant feature of the channel can be reflected by using the time domain base vector.

    Abstract: Example channel measurement methods and communications apparatus are described. One example method includes receiving a precoded reference signal by a terminal device, where the precoded reference signal is obtained by precoding a reference signal based on K angle vectors and L delay vectors. First indication information is generated and sent, where the first indication information indicates P weighting coefficients corresponding to P angle-delay pairs. The P weighting coefficients are determined by using the precoded reference signal. The P angle-delay pairs and the P weighting coefficients corresponding to the P angle-delay pairs are used to determine a precoding matrix. Each angle-delay pair includes one of the K angle vectors and one of the L delay vectors. The K angle vectors and the L delay vectors are determined based on uplink channel measurement.
