Abstract: A communications method and a terminal device are disclosed. The communications method includes: receiving, by a transmit terminal, configuration information from a network device, wherein the configuration information comprises resource pool information of a sidelink of the transmit terminal, the resource pool information comprises information about one or more resource pools, and information about one resource pool comprises one or more pieces of information about a PSFCH frequency domain resource; sending, by the transmit terminal, multicast data to receive terminals in a multicast group; and receiving, by the transmit terminal, feedback information of the multicast data from the receive terminals in the multicast group on the PSFCH frequency domain resource, wherein the PSFCH frequency domain resource is sufficient for all the receive terminals in the multicast group to perform HARQ feedback.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a random access method and a terminal, applied to the communication field, to improve uplink coverage in high frequency band communication systems such as 5G and 6G communication systems. The method in embodiments of this application includes: A network device configures a plurality of SULs in one cell, where the plurality of SULs are used to supplement uplink coverage of the cell; the network device sends configuration information of the plurality of SULs to a terminal device; and after receiving the configuration information, the terminal device may select one SUL used for random access from the plurality of SULs based on the configuration information. In embodiments of this application, because the cell includes the plurality of SULs, a requirement that a large quantity of terminals in the cell can access a network can be met, and a success rate of uplink random access by the plurality of terminals is improved. Embodiments of this application further provide a terminal. The terminal is configured to select a first SUL used for random access from a plurality of SULs.

Abstract: A self-contained subframe configuration method includes obtaining configuration information of a self-contained subframe of a current frequency band based on a subframe transmission direction of a neighboring frequency band. The self-contained subframe includes a downlink control (DLcontrol) field, a first transmission subframe, a second transmission subframe, a guard period (GP), and an uplink control (ULcontrol) field. The first transmission subframe or the second transmission subframe of the self-contained subframe is transmitted in the same subframe transmission direction used during subframe transmission on the neighboring frequency band. Alternatively, the first transmission subframe or the second transmission subframe of the self-contained subframe is transmitted in a guard period of the neighboring frequency band.

Abstract: An application processor sends a TCP packet to the modem, where the TCP packet is used by the modem to generate a wireless protocol data packet corresponding to the TCP packet, so that the modem sends the wireless protocol data packet to a base station. The application processor receives first status information from the modem, where the first status information is status information of the wireless protocol data packet or status information of the TCP packet. The application processor determines, based on the first status information, whether the TCP packet is successfully sent to the base station. If the TCP packet is successfully sent to the base station, the application processor starts a retransmission timer corresponding to the TCP packet. If the TCP packet is not successfully sent to the base station, the application processor sends the TCP packet to the modem again.
