摘要: A method and computer program for selecting an inactivity timeout interval for a mobile communications network include steps of: (a) receiving a direction of a last data transfer on a channel resource comprising a reverse link and a forward link allocated by the mobile communications network to a mobile station; (b) when the last data transfer is a forward data transfer, selecting a short inactivity timeout interval for releasing the reverse link wherein the short inactivity timeout interval corresponds to a latency of the mobile station; (c) when the last data transfer is a reverse data transfer, selecting a long inactivity timeout interval for releasing the forward link wherein the long inactivity timeout interval corresponds to a latency of a destination of the reverse data transfer; (d) when a new data transfer occurs between the mobile station and the destination before the selected inactivity timeout interval expires for the last data transfer, continuing from step (a), else (e) releasing the channel resource allocated to the mobile station.

摘要: A communication device converts a bit stream to multiple symbols and provides encryption at a physical layer by shifting a phase of each symbol of the multiple symbols to produce multiple encrypted symbols. Each encrypted symbol of the multiple encrypted symbols is modulated with an orthogonal subcarrier to produce at least one modulated subcarrier and the at least one modulated subcarrier is then transmitted via a wireless link. On a receive side, a receiving communication device receives the transmitted, encrypted symbols and provides decryption at a physical layer by shifting a phase of each encrypted symbol in correspondence with the phase used to encrypt the symbol at the transmit side.

摘要: Systems and methods for tracking employee job performance include receiving performance-related data from an employee. The performance-related data may include a schedule from the employee, a number of a demand activity performed by the employee, and a type of the demand activity performed by the employee. Systems and methods for tracking employee job performance also may include calculating a statistic related to the job performance of the employee and generating a report detailing the job performance of the employee. The report may be generated over a managerial scope received from a management user and may include the statistic related to job performance.

摘要: A time-mode analog computation circuit is provided. The time-mode analog computation circuit includes one or more inputs for receiving one or more temporal input signals. The time-mode analog computation circuit further includes circuitry for performing a mathematical operation based on the one or more temporal input signals. A result of the mathematical operation is expressed in a timing of an output signal generated by the circuit.

摘要: The need to reduce the cost associated with signaling mobiles (120) across multiple cells (101-108) is addressed by embodiments of the present invention. A targeted MS is initially paged only in those cells in which the paging channel loading level is below a particular paging threshold. Similarly for short messaging, the RAN transmits the short messaging to the MS only in those cells in which the paging channel loading level is below a short messaging threshold. Therefore, the MS can be signaled in under-loaded cells first, were the effect on system capacity and performance is negligible. When successful, the MS signaling is achieved at a lower cost to the system than when loaded cells are involved.

摘要: A novel educational board game includes a game board bearing a plurality of separate circuitous pathways, each pathway preferably commencing and ending at a central reward space common to the pathways. Each pathway bears a plurality of separate transfer stations interspersed with penalty stations and one or more reward stations. The transfer stations of a given pathway bear individual matching indicia of other pathways. Individual player markers are moved progressively from station to station along the pathways, the number of steps or stations moved corresponding to the number thrown by dice. Rewards are given at reward stations and individualized tokens issued to represent the rewards.Tally figures, preferably three-dimensional animal figures, such as birds, receive the tokens, such as feathers, as they are earned in progressing toward a successful conclusion of the game. Markers are transferrable at discretion between matching transfer stations in separate pathways to avoid penalty stations and to aid in acquiring needed tokens. Accordingly, the game requires concentration, thought and skill. Preferably, the game rewards represent attributes to fulfill basic needs, so that the game can be made highly educational and stimulating.

摘要: A lighting control assembly includes a solar collector that is integrated into a roof of a building to collect sunlight. A light transmission unit is integrated into the building to receive the sunlight from the solar collector. A control panel is attached to the building to receive the sunlight from the light transmission unit. A plurality of switch receivers is each integrated into the building. Each of the switch receivers receives the sunlight and artificial light from the light transmission unit. A plurality of switches is each positioned in a respective room of the building and the switch receiver associated with a respective one of the switches is actuated into the on condition when the respective switch is turned on. A plurality of light fixtures is mounted in a respective room in the building for illuminating the respective room when a respective switch receiver is actuated into the on condition.

摘要: The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software related product (e.g., a computer readable memory) for controlling loading (e.g., pre-filling) of video data to a user equipment by a wireless network (e.g., from internet) while the video is played by the user equipment using an additional pre-filling based on predicted degradation of connectivity of the user equipment with the wireless network to avoid interruption or deterioration of playing the video and/or to reduce video data loading cost.
