摘要： A camera system including an electronic flash device with a slave emission function, includes an electronic flash device including: a light-receiving unit for receiving a steep optical signal; a light-emitting unit for slave-emitting illumination light toward an object in response to the optical signal received by the light-receiving unit; a timer for starting a time measurement operation in response to the optical signal input to the light-receiving unit, and permitting an operation of the light-emitting unit after an elapse of a predetermined period of time; an attachment member used for attaching/detaching the device to/from a camera body; and a data communication function unit for exchanging various data including photographing information with the camera body via the attachment member; and a camera body electrically connected to the electronic flash device. In the camera system, the data communication function unit delays a synchronous time set by the camera body side in correspondence with the measurement time of the timer.

摘要： An electronic flash control system and method for a high-speed repeating flash having a main capacitor which stores energy for flashing, a discharge element, a switching apparatus, a control unit and a photometric unit. The switching apparatus causes the discharge element to flash multiple times during the exposure operation of the camera based on a signal from the control unit generated in accordance with the duty ratio. The duty ratio for each flash is determined by the control unit based on a signal from the photometric unit representative of the quantity of light from the previous flash of the discharge element. As the control system does not perform real-time control, delays of the control system do not adversely affect accuracy.

摘要： An electronic flash apparatus is capable of discriminating the presence or absence of connection to a camera, and also the state of a connected camera. When the flash apparatus is connected to a camera capable of information transfer, the time required to transfer information is minimal. At least some of the terminals that connect the flash apparatus to the camera perform multiple functions. Different currents are supplied to certain terminals depending upon whether a connected camera is in an information transfer state or a flash photographing state. Terminal voltage detection controls certain functions, including varying certain terminal voltage.

摘要： A paper feeder of a label printer makes printing successively on a continuous printing paper on which a multiplicity of label papers are affixed. The paper feeder includes a control device for moving back the continuous printing paper by a length obtained by adding a fixed length capable of continuously making the next printing subsequently to a final printing position of the printing paper upon resumption of the printing operation when the movement of the printing paper is stopped by completion of the printing operation to an adjustment length for settling a printing position and makes printing successively from a fixed position of the label paper upon resumption after the printing operation is stopped. In this case, the adjustment length is set to a sum of a length from the printing start position of the printing paper upon resumption of the printing operation to a label position detection sensor disposed ahead in the backward direction and a length required to cause the printing paper to reach a constant speed upon resumption of the printing operation.
