摘要: A heat sink assembly of the present invention includes a printed circuit board (10), a retention module (20), four pins (30), a heat sink (40) and a clip (50). The printed circuit board (10) has an electronic package (100) mounted thereon. The retention module (20) is integrally formed, substantially rectangular, and has a symmetrical configuration. The retention module (20) defines an opening (26) therein for surrounding the electronic package (100). Four positioning holes (28) are defined in four corners of the retention module (20). In assembly of the heat sink assembly, the pins (30) are interferentially positioned in the positioning holes (28) of the retention module (20). Portions of the pins (30) extending out beyond the retention module (20) are welded to the printed circuit board (10). The clip (50) cooperates with the retention module (20) to press the heat sink (40) against the electronic package (100).

摘要: A mounting device (10) for mounting a heat sink (20) to a circuit board (40), includes a locking member (16) extending through the heat sink and including a through hole (162) and barbs (172) formed in one end portion thereof for engaging with the circuit board, an operation member (12) including a cylinder (122) and a rod (128) extending from the cylinder into the through hole of the locking member. First and second bumps (178, 179) are formed in the locking member, and a pair of slots (126) is defined in the cylinder for engaging with the first and second bumps at first and second positions respectively. A spring (14) is received in the cylinder, surrounding the rod and compressed between an end of the cylinder and the first bumps. The rod expands the barbs outwardly at the second position and releases the barbs at the first position.

摘要: A liquid cooling system includes a cooling body (1) defining an hollow portion receiving a pump (3) and a number of cooling fins (18) therein, and a contact portion for contacting an electrical component. The cooling body defines a passageway therein filled with liquid coolant, and an inlet (124) and an outlet (125) both in communication with the passageway. The pump defines an exit (31) and an entrance (32) connected to the inlet and the outlet of the cooling body respectively by two tubes (5). Heat is transferred from the electrical component to the contact portion, and then conducted to the coolant, and conducted to other portions of the cooling body as the coolant flows through the passageway. The heat is then conducted to the cooling fins for dissipation.

摘要: A heat sink clip (20) includes a main body, a post (26), and a spring (27). The main body includes a longitudinal portion (31), first and second locking arms (32, 24) extending downwardly from opposite ends of the longitudinal portion. The longitudinal portion defines a through aperture (36) in a middle thereof. Two hooks (38, 46) are respectively formed at free ends of the first and second locking arms for engagement with catches (52) of a socket (52). The post has a pressing portion at a bottom thereof for being fittingly received in a blind hole (16) of a heat sink (10). The post extends through the through aperture of the longitudinal portion. The resilient element is disposed around the post below the longitudinal portion.

摘要: A heat sink mounting assembly includes a socket (90) having first and second side, a retaining clip (10) cooperating with the socket to sandwich a heat sink (70) therebetween. A pair of ears (92) is formed at the first and second sides of the socket. The retaining clip includes a pressing body (11) having first and second ends, a first leg (14) extending from the first end thereof and engaging with one ear, a spring (50) attached to the pressing body, and a second leg (30) attached to the second end thereof and biased by the spring. When the second leg is pressed down toward the socket, the spring biases the second leg upwardly, so that the second leg is resiliently engaged with the other ear. Thus, the heat sink is secured between the socket and the retaining clip.

When the operating members are rotated downwardly, the first and second locking portions are raised, adapted for engaging with a retention frame and securing a heat sink to an electronic package.

Two resilient portions (142) are formed from opposite sides of the main body. A first latching leg (146) with a fixing hole (144) extends downwardly from the main body. The pressing member includes two opposite pressing portions (24), and opposite first and second beams (22,26). A second latching leg (224) with a fixing hole (222) extends downwardly from the first beam. Two cutouts (262) are defined at a side of the pressing member, the resilient portions snappingly engaging with the pressing member in the cutouts.

摘要: A clip (10) securing a heat sink (20) to a heat-generating device (40) for removing heat therefrom comprises a body (12) and a pair of arms (14, 16) extending from the body. The body is positioned in a groove of the heat sink, for pressing the heat sink against a heat-generating device. The body integrally forms a loop (122) which receives a fin (24) of the heat sink, for enhancing engagement of the clip with the heat sink. Hooks (142, 162) at ends of the arms engage with holes defining in a substrate (30) on which the heat-generating device is mounted, thereby securing the heat sink against the heat-generating device.

摘要: A heat sink clip (50) includes a body (20) and an R-shaped handle (40). The body includes a central pressing portion (29), and first and second spring portions (21, 24) extending from opposite ends of the pressing portion. First and second legs (22, 27) depend from free ends of the first and second spring portions respectively. A catch (25) is stamped upwardly from the second spring portion, and then bent toward the pressing portion. A bent tab (31) is stamped outwardly from the second leg and then bent downwardly. The handle includes first and second connecting portions (41, 42), and anactuating portion (43) between the first and second portions. First and second fixing holes (44, 45) are respectively defined near the free ends of the first and second portions, and respectively engage with the catch and bent tab of the body.

摘要: A heat dissipation device includes a plurality of fin plates (1) and a pair of heat pipes (30). Each fin plate includes a first plate (10) and a second plate (20). The first plate forms a first fastener (15) at an edge thereof and a pair of cutouts (17) at opposite sides of the fastener. A pair of tabs (152) is formed at opposite sides of the first fastener and parallel to the first plate. The second plate forms a second fastener (25) at an edge thereof. The second fastener includes a pair of double-layer latches (252) received in the cutouts of the first plate and interengaged with the tabs of the first plate. The first fastener is located between the pair of latches. The heat pipes are inserted through the first and second plates between said edges. The first and second plates then abut each other at said edges.
