Abstract: This present disclosure discloses example communication methods and communications apparatuses. One example communication method includes a terminal device determining a first offset of a first power class and a second offset of the first power class when a power class of the terminal device is the first power class. A compensation amount of the first power class is determined based on the first offset and the second offset. A determination as to whether to camp on a first cell is made based on the second offset and the compensation amount of the first power class.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a method for transmitting positioning assistance data and a device. The method includes: receiving, by a network device, at least one positioning assistance data message sent by a positioning server, where the at least one positioning assistance data message is used to carry positioning assistance data; and broadcasting, by the network device, a system message to a terminal device, where the system message is used by the terminal device to obtain the positioning assistance data. According to the embodiments of this application, the network device broadcasts the system message to broadcast the positioning assistance data. In this way, a problem of low efficiency of transmitting existing centralized positioning assistance data can be resolved, and a problem in the prior art that a positioning server needs to perform signaling communication with each terminal device in a unicast transmission scenario can be avoided, thereby reducing signaling overheads.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for determining a transmission solution. The method includes: obtaining, by a base station, a transmission solution switching instruction of UE, where the transmission solution switching instruction of the UE is used to instruct to switch a transmission solution of the UE from user plane transmission to control plane transmission or from control plane transmission to user plane transmission, and configuring, by the base station, a switched-to transmission solution with the UE based on the transmission solution switching instruction. The base station obtains the transmission solution switching instruction by using statuses of the UE or a core network device, and configures the switched-to transmission solution with the UE, so that switching of the transmission solution of the UE is implemented, without a need of performing re-attach to the core network device and tracking area update by the UE.
