Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a sidelink communication method and an apparatus. The method includes: When a first terminal device (a transmitting end) has to-be-sent first data or first signaling, the first terminal device first determines whether the first data or the first signaling supports multicast or broadcast SL DRX. When the first data or the first signaling supports multicast or broadcast SL DRX, the first terminal device obtains an SL resource corresponding to multicast or broadcast SL DRX, and sends the first data or the first signaling by using the SL resource corresponding to multicast or broadcast SL DRX. Therefore, it can be ensured that the receiving end terminal device can successfully receive the first data or the first signaling that supports multicast or broadcast SL DRX, thereby improving SL communication quality.

Abstract: This application provides a direct link data transmission method, a terminal device, and a network device. The method includes: receiving, by a first terminal device, first configuration information sent by a network device, where the first configuration information includes information about a transmission resource set, and the transmission resource set is a transmission resource set shared between a second terminal device that uses a centralized scheduling transmission mode and a third terminal device that uses a distributed transmission mode; detecting, by the first terminal device, a load level of a resource unit in the transmission resource set based on the information about the transmission resource set; and sending, by the first terminal device, report information to the network device based on the load level, where the report information includes information about an occupied resource unit and/or information about an available resource unit in the transmission resource set. A transmission resource allocated to the first terminal device can be prevented from colliding with a transmission resource of another terminal device, so that communication quality of a terminal device and user experience is improved.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention propose a D2D communications method, apparatus, and system. In the solution, a D2D SPS available period in which a first terminal is capable of using a D2D SPS resource is greater than one SC period. Therefore, in the D2D SPS available period, the first terminal needs to determine the D2D SPS resource only one time, and a second terminal also needs to decode SCI only one time to determine the D2D SPS resource. In this way, the first terminal does not need to determine a D2D SPS resource in each SC period, and the second terminal also does not need to decode SCI in each SC period to determine the D2D SPS resource. Therefore, D2D communication efficiency is improved.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to the mobile communications field, and in particular, to a buffer processing technology in a wireless communications system. In a buffer processing method, user equipment UE triggers a direct link buffer status report, where the direct link buffer status report is at least used to report an amount of buffered data generated by the UE for a first service, and the first service is currently transmitted in a device-to-device (D2D) direct communication mode; and when the UE determines to transmit the first service in a base station relay mode, the UE stops reporting the amount of the buffered data generated by the UE for the first service to a base station. In this way, the UE stops reporting the amount of the buffered data of the first service to the base station when the UE switches from direct link transmission to base station relay transmission.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of sending a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service message. The method includes: determining, by a terminal device, a communication path for a V2X service, where the communication path is selected from at least two communication paths, the at least two communication paths include a first communication path and a second communication path, the first communication path is a communication path on which communication is performed using a PC5 interface, and the second communication path is a communication path on which communication is performed using a Uu interface; and sending, by the terminal device, a message of the V2X service by using the communication path. In the foregoing solution, the communication path can be selected from the at least two communication paths, to send the message of the V2X service. In this way, a communication path is flexibly selected for a V2X service.
