摘要: An encoding method and apparatus and a decoding method and apparatus are provided. The decoding method includes skipping extension information included in an input bitstream, extracting a three-dimensional (3D) down-mix signal and spatial information from the input bitstream, removing 3D effects from the 3D down-mix signal by performing a 3D rendering operation on the 3D down-mix signal, and generating a multi-channel signal using a down-mix signal obtained by the removal and the spatial information. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently encode multi-channel signals with 3D effects and to adaptively restore and reproduce audio signals with optimum sound quality according to the characteristics of an audio reproduction environment.

摘要: An encoding method and apparatus and a decoding method and apparatus are provided. The decoding method includes extracting a three-dimensional (3D) down-mix signal from an input bitstream, generating a down-mix signal with 3D effects removed therefrom by performing a 3D rendering operation on the extracted 3D down-mix signal, and generating a 3D down-mix signal with 3D effects by performing a 3D rendering operation on the generated down-mix signal. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently encode multi-channel signals with 3D effects and to adaptively restore and reproduce audio signals with optimum sound quality according to the characteristics of an audio reproduction environment.

Data coding and entropy coding are performed with correlation and grouping is used to increase coding efficiency. A method for signal processing according to this invention, the method includes decapsulating the signal received over an Internet protocol network, obtaining a pilot reference value corresponding to a plurality of data and a pilot difference value corresponding the pilot reference value from the decapsulated signal and obtaining the data using the pilot reference value and the pilot difference value.

摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a signal compressed in accordance with a specific alternative coding scheme are disclosed. In detail, a coding method for signal compression and signal restoration using a specific alternative coding scheme, and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. Data coding and entropy coding according to the present invention are executed under the condition in which they have a co-relation with each other. Grouping is executed for an enhancement in coding efficiency. The method for signal processing includes obtaining data coding identification information from a signal, and data-decoding data in accordance with a data coding scheme indicated by the data coding identification information. The data coding scheme includes at least a pilot coding scheme. The pilot coding scheme includes decoding the data using a pilot reference value corresponding to a plurality of data and a pilot difference value. The pilot difference value is generated using the data and the pilot reference value.

摘要: A method for processing an audio signal, comprising the steps of extracting an ancillary signal for generating the audio signal, an extension signal included in the ancillary signal, and header identification information indicating whether a header is included in the ancillary signal from a received bit stream, reading length information of the extension signal from the header if the header is included in the ancillary signal according to the header identification information, skipping decoding of the extension signal or not using a result of the decoding based on the length information, and generating the audio signal using the ancillary signal. Accordingly, in case of processing the audio signal by the present invention, it is able to reduce a corresponding load of operation to enable efficient processing and enhance a sound quality.
