Abstract: A radio device may receive network assistance information relating to uplink channel access procedures, such as channel access types and related listen-before-talk techniques, via layer one signaling or higher layer signaling. For example, information may be provided via DCI, MAC CE, or RRC messaging, e.g., received in a CORESET preceding the configured PRACH resources. Access procedures may be random access procedures, and may include indication via RAR messaging. Access procedures may be triggered by a radio access point message, such as a PDCCH order or a handover request.

Abstract: New radio download numerology allocation information may be obtained through master information block data, system information block data, radio resource control signals, or signals or a physical downlink numerology indication channel, and used along with a reference signal detected in a search space to obtain resource element positions in an antenna port reference signal in a resource block that belongs to a particular band slice according to a reference signal allocation scheme for a band slice numerology. A physical download control may then be decoded based upon one or more resource elements of the reference signal, allowing the connection of, e.g., an enhanced mobile broadband, massive machine type communication, or ultra-reliable/low-latency application to a communications network thereby. Alternatively, multiple physical downlink control channels may be blindly demodulated at each of a number calculated reference signal locations, and one channel selected based on passing a cyclic redundancy check.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for a more flexible use of bandwidth parts (BWP) and cells for the various transmissions within the BFR procedure, such as the UL beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and the DL beam failure recovery response (BFRR). The proposed framework allows these transmission to occur in BWPs with different Id, as well as on different cells. Example benefits include support for BFR on DL-only SCells by allowing the BFR UL transmissions on another cell with UL, support for sequential/parallel multi-cell BFRQ for improved BFR reliability and latency performance, and support for less UE-initiated BWP switching for BFR.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for Intra-UE Prioritization in uplink (UL) transmissions. In an example, an apparatus may receive first information indicating a first uplink grant associated with a first transmission and second information indicating a second uplink grant associated with a second transmission. The apparatus may determine, based on the first information and the second information, that the first transmission and the second transmission overlap at least partially in time. The apparatus may determine a first priority associated with the first transmission and a second priority associated with the second transmission. The apparatus may then cause, based at least in part on the first priority and the second priority, at least one of: prioritization of one transmission over another transmission, or preemption of the first transmission by the second transmission.

Abstract: Switching between Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) modes of a user equipment (UE) can be determined and indicated by a gNB to a UE at an RRC connected state using one or more of the following schemes: at an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer with an RRC configuration message, at a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer with MAC CE (MAC control element) signaling, at a PHY (Physical) layer with DCI (Downlink Control Information) signaling, jointly with RRC configuration and DCI signaling, and/or jointly with RRC configuration and MAC CE signaling. The OMA or NOMA mode that the UE operates after the transition may be requested by the UE, indicated by the gNB, and/or may be based on one or more rules for OMA-NOMA switching.

Abstract: The present application is directed to an apparatus including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for monitoring synchronous signals and physical broadcast channels (SSBs) from a network node. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute a set of instructions. The instructions include configuring the apparatus for a STTC (SSB Transmission Timing Configuration). The STTC is a time interval with plural locations accommodating transmission of the SSBs. The instructions also include monitoring the STTC for the SSBs. The instructions further include determining a first one of the SSBs in a first slot of a subframe in a scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC has been transmitted at a first scheduled location, where the transmission of the first one of the SSBs is based upon confirmation of a successful Listen Before Talk (LBT) available channel prior to the scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC.
