摘要： A fuel ignition system for a heating apparatus includes a burner connected to a fuel supply, a valve for regulating the flow of fuel to the burner, an electrode assembly for producing a spark to ignite the fuel at the burner, an ignition system control module having input and output terminals for controlling the operation of the valve and the electrode assembly in response to a temperature-actuated device, the system control module producing output signals to open the valve and activate the electrode assembly for a predetermined time period to ignite the burner and locking in a non-operable mode to close the valve and deactivate the electrode assembly if the burner fails to ignite within the predetermined time period, and an automatic reset control for activating the system control module after a time-delay period. The automatic reset control includes a timer for determining the time-delay period having an input terminal and an output terminal and a function control including two triggerable bidirectional switches for activating the system control module and for activating and deactivating the timer. A first bidirectional switch is triggered by an output signal produced by the system control module to activate the timer when the valve is closed and to deactivate the timer when the valve is open. A second bidirectional switch is triggered by an output signal produced by the timer to activate the system control module after the time-delay period.

摘要： A three-piece nozzle is disclosed, for fitment to a hand actuated liquid pump having a barrel portion with a bore therethrough for passage of liquid. The nozzle features an integrally formed nozzle cap which fits around the end portion of the barrel. Enclosed within the nozzle cap is an integrally formed nozzle seal which forms a peripheral liquid-tight seal around the barrel between the nozzle cap and the barrel. Also provided is an integrally formed check valve which is movably positioned at the mouth of the bore and which is biased towards the mouth of the bore to form a liquid-tight bore seal. The bias is overcome, to open the liquid-tight bore seal, upon actuation of the pump which provides liquid pressure in the bore to act against the check valve.

摘要： A coolant oil from an x-ray tube (14) is circulated through a heat exchanger (18) to reduce its temperature. More specifically, at least one hot coolant fluid receiving aperture (30) is defined adajcent an end of a suction tube 32) in an upper most portion of a horn portion (16) surrounding a cathode termination assembly. Bubblers (42) of gas in the fluid which could be ionized by electrical fields inside the x-ray tube housing causing x-ray tube current irregularities and corresponding x-ray tube output irregularities are drawn into the suction tube aperture. A debubbler (38) removes bubbles from the cooled coolant fluid before it is returned into an anode horn portion (20) of the x-ray tube. Alternately, the bubbles may be reabsorbed, dissolved, or homogenized by the action of the heat exchanger and pump. The coolant fluid passes through a central portion (24) of the x-ray tube absorbing heat and back to the cathode horn portion.

摘要： A plastic molded snap fastener including a stud head having solid thin annular base flange and a top, the top and the flange being held in spaced relation by radial ribs preferably in the form of a cross piece, the top being annular but "flattened" on the outer perimeter in the area of the ends of the cross piece. Where the plastic is compatible with the plastic of the fabric, the fastener parts may be molded directly on the fabric. In a modification the base flange is split by a plane perpendicular to the axis of the fastener part. The base fabric is sandwiched between the parts of the flange. This modification is useful where the plastic of the fastener is not compatible with the plastic of the fabric. The invention also includes a mold apparatus for forming the fastener on a strip of fabric wherein core pins on one side of the mold cooperate with spring-pressed ejection pins on the other side and with cavities in the mold retainer plates to shape the parts. The preferred mold apparatus also includes punches for perforating the fabric preparatory to the molding operation.

摘要： A two-piece nozzle, for fitment to hand actuated liquid pumps having a barrel portion and a bore therethrough for passage of liquid, is disclosed. The nozzle has an integrally formed nozzle cap which is mounted to the end portion of the barrel. Enclosed within the nozzle cap is an integrally formed sealing structure which is attached to the barrel of the pump. The sealing device provides a peripheral liquid-tight seal around the barrel between the nozzle cap and the barrel. It also provides a check valve which is movably positioned at the mouth of the bore to provide a liquid-tight bore seal. The check valve is biased to provide the liquid-tight bore seal which bias can be overcome by liquid pressure in the bore developed upon actuation of the pump.
