Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines intersecting with the gate lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes, and a sensor drive controller which includes a plurality of common electrodes facing the pixel electrodes and detects a touch by controlling the common electrodes. The sensor drive controller selects at least one of the common electrodes, and supplies a sensor signal to the selected common electrode to set the selected common electrode to a sensing state. The sensor drive controller sets at least the common electrode adjacent to the common electrode set to the sensing state to a guard state and sets the other common electrodes to a floating state.

Abstract: To reduce disturbances in display of images due to static electricity without deteriorating optical properties in a display. The display includes a conductive pattern provided on the upper surface of the substrate, a protection layer provided on the upper surface of the substrate to cover the conductive pattern, and a conductive layer provided on the protection layer. The sheet resistance of the conductive pattern is not more than 8 Ω/square. A ratio of the total sum of areas of portions of the plurality of sub-pixels that overlap the conductive pattern in a plan view to the total sum of the areas of the plurality of sub-pixels is 1 to 22%. A sheet resistance of the conductive layer is higher than the sheet resistance of the conductive pattern.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device has a first electrode, a second electrode and liquid crystal layer. When a voltage is not applied to the first and second electrodes, the major axes of the liquid crystal molecules are oriented in a third direction. When a voltage is applied between the first and second electrodes, the major axes are oriented so as to rise in a direction perpendicular to a first substrate while rotating clockwise in a vicinity of one of long sides of comb tooth portion that face each other and counterclockwise in a vicinity of the other of the long sides. An angle between an electrode base-side portion of a long side of each comb tooth portions and the third direction is larger than an angle between a distal end-side portion of the long side of each comb tooth portions and the third direction.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, lead wirings provided on the first substrate or the second substrate and a first insulator part provided on an upper surface of the second substrate. The lead wirings are arranged in a peripheral region when seen in a plan view and the first insulator part is arranged so as to overlap a display region when seen in a plan view. Second insulator parts or spaces with a permittivity lower than a permittivity of the first insulator part are provided at sides of the first insulator part. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a sensor-equipped display device includes a display panel which includes a sensor driving electrode disposed in a display area for displaying an image, detection electrodes each including a body portion opposed to the sensor driving electrode in the display area and a broadened portion connected to the body portion and formed to be wider than the body portion, and a lead line disposed in a non-display area outside the display area and electrically connected to the broadened portion. The broadened portion is disposed in the non-display area without being overlaid on the display area in planar view.

Abstract: A display device includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes each of which is provided in each of a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in a display region; a driving electrode provided so as to overlap the plurality of pixel electrodes when seen in a plan view; a plurality of detecting electrodes provided so as to overlap the driving electrode when seen in a plan view; and a dummy electrode provided apart from the detecting electrodes.
