摘要： A terrestrial DMB receiver using an imaginary channel in a terrestrial DMB system is disclosed. The terrestrial DMB receiver includes: a key input unit for receiving an input from a user; a display unit for providing image output to the user; an imaginary channel storage unit for storing information on imaginary channels designated to each broadcasting service by the user; a DMB receiving unit for receiving terrestrial DMB broadcasting; a MCI/SI analyzer for analyzing MCI and SI of FIC information from a DMB broadcasting signal received through the DMB receiving unit; and a controller for searching for the imaginary channel storage unit according to values of number keys input from the key input unit, extracting service IDs, controlling the DMB receiving unit to select broadcasting services according to the extracted service IDs, checking the information analyzed through the MCI/SI analyzer, and performing an update for the imaginary channel storage unit.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for providing a similar broadcasting service in a DVB-H system. The method includes: configuring and broadcasting Electric Service Guide (ESG) data including service linking information in which a DVB-H transmission server including data and access information about at least one linked service set in a certain DVB-H service; and receiving and storing the ESG data by a DVB-H reception terminal, detecting service linking information corresponding to a DVB-H service during reception from the ESG data if a reception intensity of signals is less than a preset reference value during reception of the DVB-H service, stopping reception of the DVB-H service being currently received, and receiving a linked service included in the service linking information with reference to the detected service linking information.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for providing an electronic program guide (EPG) for digital broadcasting. The method includes the steps of analyzing motion picture experts group (MPEG)-2 transport stream for the digital broadcasting by a digital broadcasting receiver of a digital broadcasting subscriber as the digital broadcasting subscriber executes an electronic program guide (EPG) function, obtaining a PID of an elementary stream, which transmits an object carousel, by analyzing a program map table (PMT) of the motion picture experts group (MPEG)-2 transport stream if an application program is transmitted, downloading the application program using the PID information of the elementary stream and then storing the application program in a temporary storage device, displaying electronic program guide information through display of the digital broadcasting subscriber, and executing the application program when contents relating to the application program are selected in electronic program guide information.

摘要： A system and method for Digital Right Management (DRM) of Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB). The system for DRM of DVB includes a DVB transmitting device for transmitting content for the DVB and information on user's rights object for the content, and a DVB receiving device for receiving and storing the transmitted content, and playing the stored data in accordance with the information on the user's rights object. A sneak post view problem occurring during the DVB is solved, and thus the digital rights for the DVB content are efficiently protected. In solving the sneak post view problem, the existing rights object and the construction of the security association database can be used, without adding a separate construction.

摘要： A method and a terminal for recording a broadcast stream so that, when the recorded broadcast stream is reproduced, a viewing restriction is placed. The method includes receiving a broadcast stream transmitted in real time and a message containing viewer rating information, and storing the viewer rating information together with the broadcast stream as a media file of a particular file at a broadcast stream recording request. When the stored broadcast stream is reproduced, the same viewing restriction is placed as when the broadcast is watched in real time.

When a broadcast transmitting apparatus provides a broadcast receiving apparatus with a multi-content by inserting a plurality of content into one service, the broadcast transmitting apparatus sets one of the plurality of content as a primary content, and provides a service guide including primary-content setting information to the broadcast receiving apparatus. The primary content represents a content set to be primarily provided to a user, among a plurality of content included in one service and simultaneously provided during a specific time period. The primary-content setting information represents information for identifying the primary content. The primary-content setting information may be included in a content fragment or schedule fragment of a service guide.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of notifying reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform in a Digital Video Broadcasting DVB system. This method requires a Program Map Table (PMT) including a warning data field for representing reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform and a time data field for representing the time of the reconfiguration. The DVB receiving terminal periodically monitors the PMT to prepare for the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform. Thus the DVB receiving terminal provides the DVB services to the user without interruption.
