    摘要: An image bearing member includes a substrate, and a photosensitive layer overlying the substrate, wherein an uppermost surface layer of the image bearing member has a hydrocarbon compound represented by the following Chemical Formula 1; and a three-dimensionally cross-linked polymer formed by polymerization reaction of a charge transport compound having three or more [tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups linked with aromatic rings, wherein, in the polymerization reaction, part of the three or more [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups is severed and detached from the charge transport compound, Ph1-Q1-Ph2-Q2-Ph3  Chemical Formula 1 where Q1 and Q2 independently represent methylene groups or ethylene groups, Ph1 and Ph3 independently represent phenyl groups with which one or two methyl groups are bonded, and Ph2 represents a phenylene group or a phenylene group having one methyl group.

    摘要: A preferred aspect of an electrophotographic photoconductor of the present invention contains a layer containing a hardened material which is prepared by polymerizing (A) a chain-polymerizable group-containing tertiary amine compound in which at least one alkyl group is bound to a nitrogen atom constituting an amine structure through chain polymerization. Another preferred aspect of the electrophotographic photoconductor contains a layer containing a hardened material which is prepared by polymerizing the (A) component, and (B) a chain-polymerizable charge transporting compound through chain polymerization. Still another preferred aspect of the electrophotographic photoconductor contains a layer containing a hardened material which is prepared by polymerizing the (A) component, (B) the chain-polymerizable charge transporting compound, and (C) a trifunctional or more chain-polymerizable compound through chain polymerization.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoconductor has an electroconductive support and a photoconductive layer formed thereon, a surface top portion of the photoconductor containing a high-molecular charge transport material including a polycarbonate copolymer synthesized from (a) a bisphenol monomer with an ionization potential of 6.0 eV or less, having a positive hole transporting function, and (b) a bisphenol monomer having a substituent at the o-position with respect to at least one hydroxyl group thereof, the substituent being bulkier than a fluorine atom. A process cartridge holds the above-mentioned photoconductor therein, and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus is provided with the above-mentioned photoconductor or process cartridge.
