    摘要: The present teachings describe a process of forming a charge transport layer (CTL) coating dispersion. The process includes mixing a surfactant and a first organic solvent until the surfactant is completely solubilized. Fluoroplastic particles are added to the solubilized surfactant and first organic solvent while mixing to form a slurry. The slurry includes a particulate solid content of from about 5 weight percent to about 60 weight percent. The process includes mixing a base solution that includes a charge transport material, a binder, an antioxidant and a second organic solvent. The base solution is added to the slurry while mixing to form a CTL pre-mix dispersion.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member using a dispersion solution that shows high liquid stability in long-period storage and hardly causes aggregation of charge-transporting pigment particles during drying a coating. The method of producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member having a charge-transporting layer comprises a step of forming a coating film by applying a dispersion solution comprising polyolefin polymer particles and charge-transporting pigment particles as dispersoids and comprising a dispersion medium, and then forming the charge-transporting layer by heating the coating film and melting the polyolefin polymer particles, wherein the particles consisting of the polyolefin polymer particles and the charge-transporting pigment particles in the dispersion solution have a number average particle diameter of 50 nm or more and 300 nm or less and a degree of dispersion (standard deviation/number average particle diameter) of 1.0 or less.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoconductor including: an electrically conductive substrate; and at least a photoconductive layer on the electrically conductive substrate, wherein the electrophotographic photoconductor includes an uppermost surface layer, and the uppermost surface layer includes an inorganic filler, an acidic disperser and a three-dimensionally crosslinked polymer, wherein the three-dimensionally crosslinked polymer is formed through polymerization among compounds each containing a charge transporting compound and three or more [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups where the charge transporting compound has one or more aromatic rings and the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups are bound to the aromatic rings of the charge transporting compound, and wherein the polymerization proceeds after some of the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups have been partially cleaved and eliminated with an acid catalyst.
