Abstract: Provided is a mobile terminal that includes a flexible display configured to bend a prescribed amount, a sensor configured to sense bending of the flexible display, and a controller configured to control the flexible display based on the sensed bending. The controller may detect an event associated with an application program, control the sensor to sense the bending of the flexible display in response to the detected event, and control the flexible display to display event information corresponding to the event on the flexible display according to the sensed bending.
