Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a schedule information generation unit that generates schedule information including an order of execution of received jobs; an acquisition unit that acquires resource information related to a resource used to execute a job; a prediction unit that predicts a timing of occurrence of an event that possibly occurs in the apparatus as the received jobs are executed in accordance with the order of execution on the basis of the schedule information and the resource information; a display information generation unit that generates display information for displaying a period of execution of the job to be executed and the timing of occurrence of the event along the same time axis, and for displaying a degree of influence of the event on execution of the job; and a display controller that controls display of the display information.

Abstract: A system of identifying end-user processes in a print environment receives job data corresponding to jobs that have been processed by one or more print devices in a print environment over a time period, and identifies a plurality of processing operations initiated by a user during the time period. The system determines whether the plurality of processing operations comprise a scan processing operation that was performed after a print processing operation and within a second time period from performance of the print processing operation. In response to determining that the plurality of processing operations comprise a scan processing operation initiated by the user that was performed within the second time period from a print processing operation, the system generates a digital representation of an end user process that includes the first processing operation and the second processing operation, and presents a visual representation of the end user process for validation.

In one example, the system and method perform or include capturing, with an image sensor, a plurality of images having at least one object; creating, with an electronic processor, an initial sequence of images based on a time stamp associated with each image in the plurality of images; identifying, with the electronic processor, textual information within at least one image in the plurality of images; and generating a grouping of the plurality of images based on a criteria selected from a group consisting of a location associated with the plurality of images, textual information within an image in the plurality of images, a search score associated with the at least one object, and a time gap between consecutive images in the initial sequence of the plurality of images.

Abstract: A method, system, and processor-executable software for processing images or video captured by a smartphone or other digital image capture device for subsequent validation and authentication captures not only the image, but also metadata relevant to the authenticity of validity of the image, such as position, time, camera movement and orientation, image parameters, and so forth. The image is watermarked and both the watermarked image and the metadata, as well as a symmetric key used in the watermarking, are digitally signed and transmitted or uploaded to a web server or authentication centric entity for authentication and storage. When a third party submits an image to the web server or authentication centric entity, the submitted image is compared with the stored watermarked image for authentication and validation of the submitted image, and the metadata is then retrieved to enable analysis of the contents of authenticated and validated image.

Abstract: A server 100 capable of surely synchronizing MFPs 102 and 103. The server 100 writes a first time that the server 101 measures in response to storing of information changed in the MFP 102. When the time that the server 101 measures is changed, a time difference between the time before the change and the time after the change is calculated. A modified first time is acquired by applying the calculated time difference to the written first time when the time that the server 101 measures is changed after the first time has been written. When the modified first time is a time between a time when a previous inquiry was received from the MFP 103 and a time when a current inquiry from the MFP 103 is received, the information indicating the content of the changed information is transmitted to the MFP 103.

The processor determines when one or more of the user selectable applications are launched. The processor outputs status data relative to monitored application launches to an associated server via a network interface.
