Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of cleaning a surface (1) attached with at least one chewing gum lump (2) whereby said cleaning is at least partly based on an enzymatic degradation of at least one biodegradable polymer in said chewing gum lump (2) and whereby said enzymatic degradation is initiated by the application of at least one enzyme to which said at least one polymer forms substrate and whereby said at least one enzyme is added to said chewing gum lump (2) subsequent to chewing and attachment of said chewing gum lump (2) to said surface (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chewing gum comprising a chewing gum base, and at least one emulsion system, which comprises at least one flavor, at least one dispersion medium and at least one emulsifier having a total HLB value of at least 10, wherein said at least one emulsifier comprises in the range of 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of said chewing gum.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chewing gum comprising at least one biodegradable polymer in an amount of from about 0.1% to about 95%, said biodegradable polymer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) above 37° C. and having a molecular weight (Mn) within the range of approximately 500 to 60000 g/mol and wherein said chewing gum comprises less than approximately 5% by weight of natural resins.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chewing gum comprising chewing gum ingredients, said chewing gum comprising at least one elastomer and at least one resin, said at least one resin comprising at least one synthetic biodegradable homopolymer resin, the amount of said synthetic biodegradable homopolymer of said chewing gum being from about ½% to 60% by weight of said chewing gum. The obtained non-tack properties combined with acceptable chew feel is according to an embodiment of the invention obtained by a combination of a biodegradable homopolymer and an elastomer in the chewing gum.
Abstract:
The invention relates to gum base granules and compressed chewing gum comprising at least one biodegradable polymer. According to an embodiment of the invention, a mechanically stable compressed chewing gum tablet has been obtained by applying at least one biodegradable polymer as a part of the gum base of the compressed chewing gum tablet.
Abstract:
The invention relates an oral delivery vehicle tablet containing nicotine, the delivery vehicle tablet being formed by compression of a plurality of particles, the oral delivery vehicle tablet comprising nicotine, the oral delivery vehicle tablet comprising sugar alcohol(s) in an amount of 40 to 100% by weight of the delivery vehicle tablet, wherein at least 10% by weight of the delivery vehicle tablet comprises a plurality of particles consisting of erythritol and wherein the delivery vehicle tablet comprises a plurality of further sugar alcohol particles in an amount of at least 10% by weight of the delivery vehicle tablet, wherein said further sugar alcohol particles comprise at least one sugar alcohol and wherein said further sugar alcohols particles have a composition which is different from said particles consisting of erythritol.
Abstract:
A compressed chewing gum tablet includes at least a first and a second chewing gum module, the first chewing gum module including a first chewing gum composition including at least a first active ingredient and chewing gum granules containing gum base, the second chewing gum module including a second chewing gum composition including at least a second active ingredient and chewing gum granules containing gum base, wherein the first active ingredient is a pharmaceutically active ingredient, and the second active ingredient is selected from the group consisting of pharmaceutically active ingredients and enhancers, wherein the gum base content of the first and second chewing gum modules is different.
Abstract:
A compressed chewing gum tablet includes one or more pharmaceutically active ingredients and one or more enhancers, wherein the chewing gum tablet includes at least one chewing gum module including a chewing gum composition, and wherein the chewing gum composition includes chewing gum granules containing gum base, and wherein the enhancers are at least partly contained within at least a part of the chewing gum granules.
Abstract:
A chewing gum composition with high pH-release includes an insoluble gum base matrix and a soluble bulk portion, wherein the gum base matrix and the bulk portion is mixed and extruded to form a final chewing gum core, and wherein the gum base matrix is buffered before mixing with the bulk portion. Furthermore, a method of producing a chewing gum core, wherein a gum base matrix and a bulk portion is mixed and extruded to form a final chewing gum core, and wherein the gum base matrix is buffered before mixing with the bulk portion, and the gum base matrix includes a first amount of buffer from 2 to 20 percent by weight of the gum base matrix before mixing with the bulk portion.
