Abstract: In computer multimedia technology, a system, method and computer program product for optimizing images and transmission of images of a web-page transmitted over the Internet and furthermore, optimizing images of a web page on a network server. The method includes detecting the images in the web page to determine the relationship among the images; in response to the determination of the relationship among the images, combining two or more related images into a combinational image; and updating the web page to replace references to the related images with a reference to the combinational image. By optimizing web page images, the server's work required for handling heavy amount of HTTP requests in transmitting the web page images is decreased and the bandwidth requirement for transmitting the web page images is reduced. The quality of the original image is not lowered. And there is no need to make any change to the operation at the client side.

Abstract: A method and system for correlating out interactions, which occur due to one or a set of specific events, of an application, which is deployed in multiple adjacent tiers in an actual environment is described. First, a simulation environment corresponding to the actual environment is created. Then, specific events are led to the actual environment and the simulation environment. A pattern(s) of interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers in the simulation environment and a large number of interactions between adjacent tiers in the actual environment are obtained. Afterwards, interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers among the obtained interactions between adjacent tiers in the actual environment are correlated using a template of the obtained pattern(s) of interactions, which are related with the specific events, between adjacent tiers in the simulation environment as a template.

Abstract: The image data compression method involves the performing of steps: a block dividing step for dividing a computer processor pipeline statistic image to be displayed into a plurality of blocks with predetermined block width and block height; a block list creating step for creating a block list for indexed blocks containing meaningful pixels in the divided blocks such that the indexed blocks are associated with each other, wherein the meaningful pixels are pixels corresponding to the computer processor pipeline raw trace data; and a pixel information compressing step for compressing original pixel information on the meaningful pixels in the indexed blocks and storing it in the block list. Apparatus for performing the method is also provided.

Abstract: An assembly of a NanoCell comprising a disordered array of metallic islands interlinked with molecules between metallic input/output leads and with disordered arrays of molecules and Au islands is disclosed. The NanoCell may function both as a memory device that is programmable post-fabrication. The assembled NanoCells exhibit reproducible switching behavior and at least two types of memory effects at room temperature. The switch-type memory is characteristic of a destructive read while the conductivity-type memory features a nondestructive read. Both types of s memory effects are stable for more than a week at room temperature and bit level ratios (0:1) of the conductivity-type memory have been observed to be as high as 104:1 and reaching 106:1 upon ozone treatment which likely destroys extraneous leakage pathways. The invention demonstrates the efficacy of a disordered
