A secure communication channel is established with an entity requesting email hosting services. 摘要： A system, operable on one or more computers, and a computer-readable media are presented for validating an assertion made by a user that he or she controls a domain name. The system comprises an assertion receiver, authorization code generator, and a validation component. The assertion receiver receives either an explicit or an implicit indication that a particular user exercises control over a domain name. The authorization code generator provides an authorization code, to be electronically published in a Domain Name System (DNS) record associated with the domain name. After the authorization code has been inserted in a DNS record, the validation component accesses the DNS record to determine presence of the authorization code within the DNS records. If the authorization code is present, control of the domain by the user is established.

摘要： Providing services within a network of service providers sharing an authentication service and a set of business rules. A central server receives a first request from a first server to provide a first service to a user via a client without forcing the user to present credentials. In response to the received first request, the central server stores data identifying the first service on the client. The central server further receives a second request from a second server to provide a second service to the user via the client after the user presents the credentials to the second service. After receiving the second request and the presented credentials, the central server allows the user access to the second service. In response to allowing the user access to the second service, the central server further allows the user access to the first service as a result of the stored data.

摘要： An image service uses a uniform resource locator (URL) or other location identifier to retrieve static images embedded in dynamic content presentations from the Internet. The image service uses a set of imaging parameters to extract one or more static images embedded in the dynamic content presentation that can be consumed by the static display device. URLs to existing web pages are entered into a configuration interface on the image service. The image service parses the web pages, identifies a direct location identifier for the embedded image, and passes the direct location identifier to the static display device for direct retrieval of the embedded image. In another implementation, the image service dynamically pulls the selected embedded images from the identified web sites, and downloads the static image files for display on the static display device.
