    摘要: A printing device has a platen roller, a print head for printing on a sheet material, and a sheet cutting device for cutting the sheet material on which printing has been performed. The sheet cutting device has a stationary blade and a movable blade for cutting the sheet material in a pressing contact state with respect to the stationary blade. A release mechanism is disposed in the stationary blade frame and is movable to first and second positions to release the stationary and movable blades. In the first position of the release mechanism, the blades are in the pressing contact state, the platen roller is in contact with the print head, and ends of a platen roller shaft of the platen roller are disposed adjacent to one end of respective elongated holes of a stationary blade frame supporting the stationary blades. In the second position of the release mechanism, the blades are moved out of the pressing contact state, the platen roller is in contact with the print head, and the ends of the platen roller shaft are disposed adjacent to the other end of the respective elongated holes of the stationary blade frame.

    摘要: In order to reliably and promptly release bite of a fixed blade and a movable blade with a simple manipulation without being influenced by a state of paper jam of a recording sheet, provided is a printer capable of performing printing on a recording sheet and then cutting the same, including: a fixed blade (11); a movable blade (30); a movable blade drive system (31) including a rack (40) attached to the movable blade, and a rack gear (42) which gears with the rack, rotates in accordance with rotation of a drive gear (41) coupled to a forward/reverse rotatable motor, and linearly moves the rack; a manipulatable lever portion (32); a cooperative mechanism (13) including a pushing portion (12) for moving the fixed blade in a direction of moving away from the movable blade in conjunction with manipulation of the lever portion, and for releasing a contacting pressure of both the blades; a first unit mainly incorporating the fixed blade and the cooperative mechanism; and a second unit (4) mainly incorporating the movable blade and the movable blade drive system, in which one of both the units is separable from another unit, and combination is released.

The stationary blade frame (33) is movably provided with the main frame (13) such that the stationary blade (31) is moved to a release position where a press contact state between the stationary blade (31) and the movable blade (41) is released while retaining a position of a printing device (1).

    摘要: A printer comprises a frame having a pair of side walls spaced apart a given distance according to a given width size of a recording medium. A platen is supported between the pair of side walls and has a surface for supporting the recording medium. A printhead, operable in a printing position thereof to perform a printing operation on the recording medium, is supported between the side walls for tilting movement and displacement in forward/backward and rightward/leftward directions. A pressing body is supported by the frame for pressing the printhead into contact with the surface of the platen. When the printhead is in the printing position, the printhead is freely pivotable to permit automatic angular adjustment thereof following the surface of the platen so that the printhead can contact the surface of the platen with a uniform surface pressure.
