摘要: The present invention is directed to plugs, plug systems and methods for using the plugs and systems in subterranean wells. The plugs comprise an inner mandrel and an outer sleeve formed of a compressible foam. The plug systems include an assembly comprising a top plug and a bottom plug having foam outer sleeves. The plug systems further comprise a float valve into which the assembly fits. In the method, the bottom plug is deployed ahead of the top plug to separate a second fluid from a first fluid and wipe the inside of the pipe string clean of the first fluid. The top plug is used to wipe the inside of the pipe string clean of the second fluid and stop the displacement of the second fluid into the annulus between the casing string and the well bore.

摘要: Systems and methods for managing communication in an IP network between a server and a probe that does not maintain an IP address by selectively restricting which IP addresses that are identified as active in the network may be borrowed for the probes. Restriction of IP addresses may include a black list to exclude specific IP addresses, a white list from which IP addresses can be drawn or both. This permits control over which IP addresses may be borrowed by probes, reducing false alarms, alerts or other network concerns caused by unexpected IP traffic on a particular IP address in the network.

摘要: An unaddressed device installed inline in a path of an MPLS network can communicate a packet from within the MPLS network to an upstream device without knowledge of the necessary MPLS labeling by sending the packet intentionally in the wrong direction: downstream. To communicate to an upstream device, the unaddressed device sends a packet downstream into the MPLS network on the opposite side and through the opposite outgoing port from that which would be used for a packet sent to the same device in a non-MPLS network. This behavior forces the MPLS network, when it next inspects the packet, to re-label it with the correct labeling to route the packet on a path back upstream to the recipient device. In this manner, the MPLS architecture is used to redirect or loop back packets from an unaddressed inline device to the upstream device.

摘要: A method of monitoring packet traffic is provided. The method includes: at a first access point, capturing portions of traffic packets passing therethrough separated by time intervals; encapsulating the portions of traffic packets thereby forming encapsulated packets and adding timestamps to the encapsulated packets so as to preserve the portions of traffic packets and information related to the time intervals; transmitting the encapsulated packets over a network; decapsulating the encapsulated packets so as to obtain replay packets and the capture timestamps, wherein the replay packets include the portions of the traffic packets; and, transmitting the replay packets separated by the time intervals, wherein the timestamps are used to reproduce the time intervals so as to imitate the traffic packets passing through the first access point.

摘要: A battery holder assembly (219) includes a cavity structure (CS), a screw plate (SP), a spring electrical contact (SEC), an insulator cup (IC), and a pin (402). CS (392) defines a cavity (210) in a chassis panel (CP) of an electronic device (ED). SP (320) snugly fits within an opening in CP (212). SP has a base (702) forming a cover for enclosing the cavity. SP forms a connection with CS and a first terminal of a battery (318), when battery is positioned in the cavity and SP is fitted within the opening. SEC (802) provides a connection between battery and SP. IC (322) snugly receives battery therein. IC fits within the cavity and electrically insulates a second terminal of battery from CS. A battery contact (BC) is disposed on IC. BC (716, 412) provides a connection to the second terminal. Pin forms a connection between BC and ED.

摘要: An orthodontic bracket is provided that includes a cover and a base, wherein the cover can be rotated over an arch wire slot in the base portion. The present bracket invention operates to close when a frangible portion is severed upon initiating rotation of the cover, such that the cover rotates about a hinge, which may include a pin or axle. In one embodiment of the invention, the pin or axle can be moved laterally and/or vertically after the frangible portion is severed. Preferably, the bracket is manufactured to form one piece, such as using an injection molding, machining, or casting process. The bracket offers economical advantages because additional subsequent assembly is not required to attach a cover to a base.

摘要: A differential termination and attenuator network having an internal common mode termination voltage generator includes first and second termination resistors coupled in parallel with corresponding resistive attenuator circuits. A monitoring circuit coupled to input nodes of the network generates an output signal representative of the combination of a DC common mode voltage on the input nodes and an internal termination voltage. A control circuit generates scaled termination and compensation voltages and associated drive currents using the internal termination voltage and the monitoring circuit output signal. The scaled termination voltage and the scaled compensation voltage operate on the differential termination and attenuation network to optimize the dynamic range of a differential amplifier connected to the first and second attenuator outputs and null the DC currents at the input of the network. The internal termination voltage generator receives termination voltage parameters from a measurement instrument for generating the internal termination voltage.
