Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a route reflector, a subscription request from a first provider edge node in a network and generating a subscription policy for the first provider edge node. The method also includes receiving a first Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) Type 2 Route from a second provider edge node, assigning a sequence number to the first EVPN Type 2 Route, and communicating the first EVPN Type 2 Route with the sequence number to the first provider edge node. The method further includes receiving a second EVPN Type 2 Route from a third provider edge node, generating an updated sequence number in response to receiving the second EVPN Type 2 Route from the third provider edge node, and communicating the second EVPN Type 2 Route with the updated sequence number to the first provider edge node and the second provider node.

Abstract: A method of optimal routing in an inter-area IGP network based on SR-MPLS Flex-Algorithm procedures, a source node, an area border node and a system thereof are disclosed. The method comprises advertising, by each of the at least two area border nodes of the IGP network comprising a first area and second area, an algorithm-specific metric associated with a destination node from the first set of nodes of the first area to a source node from the second set of nodes of the second area; calculating, by the source node, each inter-area path metric associated with a path including a respective area border node to reach the destination node; and determining, by the source node, an optimal path including one of the at least two area border nodes to reach the destination node based on each of the each calculated inter-area path metric.

Abstract: In some implementations, a head Level 2 (L2) node of an intermediate system-intermediate system (IS-IS) flood reflection (FR) network may determine an end-to-end path from the head L2 node to a tail L2 node of the IS-IS FR network. The IS-IS FR network includes a plurality of L2 nodes and a plurality of FR clusters that each comprise a plurality of Level 1 (L1) nodes and a plurality of L1 and L2 (L1/L2) nodes connected by a plurality of L1 links. The head L2 node may send information associated with the end-to-end path to another node identified in the end-to-end path to cause a label switched path (LSP) to be established from the head L2 node to the tail L2 node, wherein the LSP traverses one or more L1 links within an FR cluster of the IS-IS FR network.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a data forwarding method and apparatus, a storage medium, and an electronic device. The method includes: acquiring, by an ingress node of a Bit Indexed Explicit Replication (BIER) domain, traffic data to be forwarded of an instance; encapsulating, by the ingress node, the traffic data by using a prefix of an address of the BIER domain and an instance label of the instance; and forwarding, by the ingress node, an encapsulated packet obtained by encapsulating the traffic data to a next-hop node of the BIER domain. By the solution, the problem of low data forwarding efficiency is solved, thereby achieving the effect of improving data forwarding efficiency.

Abstract: A loop detection method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first node receives a packet from a second node through a first interface. A node segment identifier is encapsulated at an outer layer of the packet. The node segment identifier identifies a destination node. The first node determines, based on the node segment identifier, that an outbound interface for forwarding the packet is the first interface. The first node determines that a loop exists in a forwarding path of the packet. Whether the loop exists in the forwarding path of the packet is determined by determining whether an interface through which the first node receives the packet is consistent with an outbound interface through which the first node forwards the packet, to further adjust the forwarding path of the packet when the loop exists in the forwarding path of the packet, for example, forward the packet along a backup path or discard the packet, to avoid problems such as port congestion and service packet loss.

Abstract: A traffic controller device for distributing or otherwise controlling the distribution of routing information may be included in a telecommunications network. The traffic controller may receive routing tables from a plurality of network devices, such as one or more provider edge devices of the network. The traffic controller, upon receiving the routing information from the provider edge devices, may generate a routing table associated with each device providing the routing information. The traffic controller may also provide updates to one or more of the networking devices associated with the controller. The traffic controller may alter or update, at the traffic controller, the routing table associated with the target provider edge device based on the network policy. The routing information in the routing table for that device and maintained by the traffic controller may be updated with a new route or new local preferred parameter value.
