摘要： The invention provides aqueous gel compositions comprising metronidazole, benzyl alcohol as a solvent, water, and a polyacrylic acid or cellulosic gelling agent, wherein the benzyl alcohol is present in an amount effective to maintain the physical stability of the aqueous gel composition for at least seven days at 5° C. The invention also provides methods of using and methods of preparing the aqueous gel compositions.
