    摘要: A multi-beam feeding apparatus according to the present invention is a feeding apparatus for a multi-beam antenna comprising a reflector and a primary radiator comprising a plurality of element antennas, and the apparatus is provided with a plurality of beam forming networks for setting an excitation distribution relative to the element antenna necessary for every beam. Each beam forming network is connected via a combiner (a divider) disposed to every of all the element antennas. According to this construction, not only there is such an advantage that a variation of capacity of communication between the beams and the like can be flexibly responded, but also there are such effects that a beam forming network can be so simply constructed that the same systems are only combined, a power can be more effectively used, such a problem as a heat generation and the like can be reduced. Moreover, a plurality of missions can be easily fused. Thereby, communication can be more flexible, a power loss relating to a large power transmission can be easily solved, and an necessary excitation distribution can be easily set at a low cost.

    摘要: In a radio communication apparatus, delay profiles of a desired wave and delay waves thereof are estimated by plural delay profile estimation sections for each of received signals from directional antennas constituting an array antenna. Received signals from the antennas selected by a reception antenna selector on the basis of the delay profile are subjected to a temporal/spatial equalization processing by an adaptive signal processing section and a path diversity combining section, thereby obtaining a reception output. An arrival angle range of the desired wave is estimated by a DOA estimation section from the delay profile estimated by the delay profile estimation section. Based on the arrival angle range, the antenna for transmission is selected by a transmission antenna selection section, and transmission signals are sent out.

The sum of the lengths of the first and third wire antenna elements is ¼ the wavelength corresponding to a series-resonance frequency of the first and third wire antenna elements. The parallel-resonance frequency is higher than the series-resonance frequency of the first, second, and fourth wire antenna elements and lower than the series-resonance frequency of the first and third wire antenna elements.

    摘要: A method for estimating an arrival direction of an electromagnetic wave by the BS-MUSIC, by inputting into one receiver arrival wave reception signals received by a plurality of antenna elements constituting an array antenna. At first, a wide range is scanned in a plurality of directions with a wide antenna beam and a first estimation of arrival direction is carried out. Next, a plurality of directions are scanned with a narrow antenna beam to cover only the directions obtained as a result of the first estimation of arrival direction. Thus, a second estimation of arrival direction is carried out. With this arrangement, it is possible to provide a method of estimating an arrival direction by using a small number of receivers in a small apparatus at low cost. Further, based on this method, it is also possible to estimate an arrival direction in a small calculation volume even under the unknown environment of waves.
