Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may identify a configuration of sidelink synchronization signal block instances including a first quantity of sidelink synchronization signal block instances for each of a plurality of sidelink synchronization signal block periods. The UE may transmit a second quantity of sidelink synchronization signal block instances over a first sidelink synchronization signal block period. In some aspects, the UE may transmit a sidelink synchronization signal block burst using beams in a sidelink synchronization signal block period. The UE may identify a configuration for a set of resources of a sidelink beam selection resource pool based on transmitting the sidelink synchronization signal block burst. The UE may receive, from another UE over the set of resources, a control message including an indication of preferred beams. The UE may transmit the sidelink data to the other UE using the preferred beams.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for resource selection supporting the identification of resources for receiving two-stage downlink control information (DCI). In some systems, for example, a base station may transmit a first stage DCI and a second stage DCI to a user equipment. The first stage DCI may include control information for a group of UEs including the UE and the second stage DCI may include control information that is specific to the UE. The UE may determine a resource to use for receiving the second stage DCI based on an indication in the first stage DCI. In some examples, the UE may determine a resource from a resource pool based on a resource selector included in the first stage DCI and receive the second stage DCI over the determined resource. The resource pool may be indicated by the first stage DCI or pre-configured at the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit acknowledgment feedback for a combined signal derived from individual downlink signals received on respective radio links, where the acknowledgment feedback is transmitted with a phase shift applied to the transmission. In some cases, the phase shift may indicate which individual downlink signals were unsuccessfully received and decoded on the respective radio links. For example, the acknowledgment feedback message may include acknowledgment feedback for a final decoding of the combined signal on whether the combined signal is successfully received and decoded and side negative acknowledgment information indicating which individual radio links were unsuccessfully received and decoded via the phase shift. The UE may transmit the acknowledgment feedback on a strongest radio link, a subset of the radio links, or on all of the radio links.

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for signaling the capability of a wireless communication device (e.g., a UE) to support demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling for channel estimation across two or more slots in the sidelink or uplink. In some examples, a transmitting UE may transmit a DMRS bundling indication to a receiving device (e.g., a receiving UE for sidelink DMRS bundling or a base station for uplink DMRS bundling). The DMRS bundling indication may indicate a capability of the transmitting UE to support DMRS bundling. The transmitting UE may then transmit a respective set of DMRSs within each of two or more slots during a DMRS bundling window to the receiving device based on the transmitting wireless communication device and the receiving device supporting DMRS bundling.
