    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for relocating an overlay overlapping information in content. The systems and methods may comprise receiving a content item, the content item comprising a video image, and determining a first screen position of an information box (e.g., a score box) in the video image. Determining may be performed with image analysis and/or a machine learning model. The system receives an overlay image (e.g., a channel logo) with a second screen position and determines if the second screen position (e.g., for the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., for the score). In response to determining the second screen position (e.g., of the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., the score), the system modifies the second screen position (e.g., for the logo). Then the system generates for display the overlay image on the video in the modified screen position. The system may not relocate the overlay if the overlay is a high priority.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing context to users who access video conferences late. This may be accomplished by a system receiving an audio segment of a video conference and generating a subtitle corresponding to the audio segment. The system may determine a summary relating to the audio segment and then display the subtitle, summary, and video conference on a device. The system allows a user, who accesses a video conference late, to quickly and accurately understand the current video conference discussion, improving the user's experience and increasing the productivity of the video conference.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for selective playback of portions of audio at normal speed during a fast-forward operation. Upon receiving a command to perform a fast-forward operation, a current playback position is identified, as well as a plurality of portions of audio of the content item that will be subject to the fast-forward operation. A subset of the audio portions that will be subject to the fast-forward operation are selected. The fast-forward operation is initiated, and video of the content item is played back at the increased speed while the selected portions of audio of the content item are played back at normal speed.

More particularly, the present invention relates to implementing a referencing mechanism leveraging repetition of content to transmit less closed caption data to a client device. Improved closed captioning and subtitling methods, mechanisms, techniques and systems described herein are introduced to provide a better viewing experience for a viewer of a media asset such as video, audio, or the like. As such, methods and systems are provided herein that reduces the signaling of unnecessary bytes to a media device and provides a more efficient way of providing timed text to the media device.
