    Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for presenting caption information based on volume setting adjustments are provided. The method comprises: during playback of a video content item in a media playback application, causing a volume interface that corresponds to the media playback application to be presented, wherein the volume interface includes a lowest volume setting and a caption interface element; determining that a first user selection has been received that causes the volume interface to be at the lowest volume setting of the volume interface; in response to determining that the first user selection has been received, causing the video content item being presented in the media playback application to be in a mute state in which audio content associated with the video content item is muted, updating the volume interface by positioning a highlight region over the lowest volume setting, and presenting a contextual interface element that indicates the mute state of the media playback application; determining that a second user selection has been received that corresponds with decreasing volume of the audio content associated with the video content item while the video content item being presented in the media playback application is in a mute state; and, in response to determining that the second user selection has been received, updating the volume interface by positioning the highlight region over the caption interface element, presenting the contextual interface element that indicates a caption state of the media playback application, and causing caption information associated with the video content item to be presented.

    Abstract: Provided is a method and device of Bluetooth adaptive volume adjustment. The method includes: obtaining an adjustable maximum volume value of the Bluetooth audio device and a user adjustable maximum volume value, after a smart terminal being connected with a Bluetooth audio device; obtaining a volume value indicated by a volume adjustment instruction, after receiving the volume adjustment instruction; calculating a volume value of the smart terminal according to the volume value indicated by the volume adjustment instruction, calculating a volume value of the Bluetooth audio device according to the volume value indicated by the volume adjustment instruction, the adjustable maximum volume value of the Bluetooth audio device, the user adjustable maximum volume value; setting the volume of the Bluetooth audio device according to the obtained volume value of the Bluetooth audio device, setting the volume of the smart terminal according to the obtained volume value of the smart terminal.

    Abstract: A method is provided for acoustically reproducing a digital audio medium, in particular an audiobook, in a motor vehicle, in particular a two- or four-wheel motor vehicle, which has a navigation system that determines the current geographical position of the vehicle, wherein at least first information on the roadway section currently being traversed is assigned to the geographical position. In order to reproduce a digital audio medium in a motor vehicle in a user-friendly manner, the following steps are proposed: a first comparison is carried out in order to determine whether the information on the roadway section currently being traversed, the information being assigned to the current geographical position, indicates a roadway section which requires increased attention from the operator of the motor vehicle; in the event of a positive first comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is interrupted; a second comparison is carried out in order to determine whether the information on the roadway section currently being traversed, the information being assigned to the current geographical position, continues to indicate a roadway section which requires increased attention from the operator of the motor vehicle; in the event of a positive second comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is further interrupted; and in the event of a negative second comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is continued.

    Abstract: Media device systems and methods synchronize video content with audio content presented by a plurality of wireless audio headsets. In an exemplary embodiment, a first time delay corresponds to a first duration of time between communication of the audio content from the media device and presentation of the audio content by a first wireless audio headset. A second time delay corresponds to a second duration of time between communication of the audio content from the media device and presentation of the audio content by a second wireless audio headset, wherein the first time delay is greater than the second time delay. Video content communicated to a display is delayed by the first time delay. Audio content communicated to the second wireless audio headset is delayed by a time delay difference between the first time delay and the second time delay.

    Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing media content streaming or playback, and, more particularly, for implementing advanced audio shifting. In various embodiments, a computing system might present a first audio content to a user using at least one audio playback device. The computing system might receive user input from the user, the user input being indicative of a desire by the user to switch from presentation of the first audio content to presentation of a second audio content. In response to receiving the user input, the computing system might automatically shift from presentation of the first audio content to presentation of the second audio content using an audio shift using the at least one audio playback device, the audio shift comprising a gradual decrease in volume of the first audio content to mute followed by a gradual increase in volume of the second audio content from mute.
