摘要： A reciprocating-motion converting mechanism includes a cam that rotates around a rotation center; a reciprocating member that is reciprocated due to rotation of the cam; and a pressing unit that presses the reciprocating member to the cam. A first load torque is generated by a load applied at a point of contact of the cam and the reciprocating motion member. A load applying unit applies a load to the cam to generate a second load torque having a phase substantially opposite to a phase of the first load torque.

摘要： A transfer device includes a cleaning device, a waste toner bottle, a connecting unit, and a regulating unit. The cleaning device removes waste toner remaining on an intermediate transfer belt. The waste toner bottle has an intake opening for collecting the waste toner therein. The connecting unit conveys the waste toner from the cleaning device to the waste toner bottle, and has a discharge opening that is configured to engage the intake opening to discharge the waste toner into the waste toner bottle through the intake opening. The regulating unit regulates the position of the waste toner bottle in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the waste toner bottle before the discharge opening comes in contact with the intake opening.

摘要： A toner recovering device for an electrophotographic apparatus, which includes: a dust collector connected to a device for cleaning untransferred toner remaining on a photosensitive body; a toner recovering filter having an inlet port for introducing an air-toner mixture from the dust collector side and an exhaust port for filtering the air-toner mixture and discharging the air from which the toner has been removed; a filter mounting section for mounting the toner recovering filter; a joint mechanism having a joint and a hose member, one end of the hose member capable of being connected to the dust collector and other end thereof being joint, the joint being disposed at the inlet port, the joint mechanism being arranged in the filter mounting section in such a manner as to be opened and closed; a detector for sensing that the toner recovering filter has been mounted or not onto the filter mounting section; and a pulling member for coupling the inlet port of the toner recovering filter to the joint in synchronism with an operation of mounting the toner recovering filter onto the filter mounting section.

摘要： A belt device includes: a belt that passes through a plurality of image forming units, each of the image forming units including a transfer member and an image carrier as a pair, the transfer member moves in a direction to contact with the belt and in a direction so as to be separated from the belt; a cleaning unit cleans an outer periphery of the belt after the belt passes through all the image forming units; and a pressing member is disposed between the cleaning unit and the image forming unit located on the most upstream side and that presses the outer periphery of the belt, wherein when the transfer member of at least one of the image forming units moves to be separated from the belt, the transfer member of the rest of the image forming units and the pressing member support the belt.

摘要： A neutralizing mechanism is provided on at least one conveying path proximal member installed on a conveying path of a sheet material in a vicinity of a transfer position, and is grounded by using a conducting material. The neutralizing mechanism includes a neutralizing circuit that includes a resistor and a ground switch electrically connected in parallel to each other. The ground switch is turned off at least at a time of applying the transfer bias to prevent a leakage of a transfer current, and turned on for a predetermined time at a time other than the time of applying the transfer bias to earth and remove a static electricity from the conveying path proximal member.
