Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a first antenna and a second antenna which are disposed near at least one edge of the housing inside the housing and a first distance away from each other, wherein the first antenna and second antenna are positioned different distances away from an edge vertical to the one edge, a communication circuit operatively connected to the first antenna and second antenna, at least one sensor, a processor, and a memory. The memory can store instructions which, when executed, enable the processor to identify the posture of the electronic device by means of at least one sensor, if the identified posture of the electronic device is a landscape state, determine the position of at least one external electronic device on the basis of at least one signal received from the at least one external electronic device, and, if the identified posture of the electronic device is a portrait state, determine the position of an external electronic device on the basis of a signal received from the external electronic device positioned in a direction which is determined on the basis of the placements of the first antenna and second antenna among the at least one external electronic device.

Abstract: Provided is an electronic device that may include: an ultra wide band (UWB) communication module; a plurality of antennas; and a processor operatively connected to the UWB communication module. The UWB communication module may be configured to: receive first data of an UWB data frame from an external electronic device by using a first antenna set including at least two antennas among the plurality of antennas to measure a first angle of arrival (AOA); receive second data of the UWB data frame by using a second antenna set including at least two antennas among the plurality of antennas to measure a second AOA, where the second antenna set is configured during a section of the UWB data frame that does not include data; and measure the direction of the external electronic device by using the first AOA and the second AOA. It is possible to provide various other embodiments.

Abstract: In an electronic device and an operation method thereof according to certain embodiments, the electronic device may include: a first communication circuit configured to perform a first communication using an ultra-wide band (UWB) communication scheme and a processor. The processor may control the communication circuit to: identify, based on a characteristic of data to be transmitted using the first communication circuit, a frame length of the data to be transmitted; determine, based on the identified frame length, a peak voltage of a signal containing the data to be transmitted; and transmit the data using the signal having the determined peak voltage.
