    Abstract: A stereo matching method includes extracting feature points of a first image and feature points of a second image, the first image and the second image together constituting a stereo image, determining reference points by matching the feature points of the second image to the feature points of the first image, classifying the reference points, and performing stereo matching on pixels of which disparities are not determined in the first image and the second image based on disparities of the reference points in the pixels determined based on a result of the classifying.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a subject recognizing apparatus and method. The method may include extracting feature points from a target image, respectively measuring movement information of each of a plurality of the extracted feature points, selectively grouping the extracted feature points into one or more groups based on the respectively measured movement information, determining a type of subject present in at least one group of the one or more groups based on at least a portion of the subject present in the at least one group, and recognizing a subject included in the target image based on the determined type of subject.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) rendering method and apparatus to render a 3D scene is disclosed. The 3D rendering apparatus determines color values of vertices shaded by a direct virtual light source, establishes one or more locations of one or more indirect virtual light sources in polygonal areas formed by the vertices based on the determined color values of the vertices, and renders a 3D scene based on the one or more indirect virtual light sources disposed at the determined one or more locations.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) rendering method and apparatus is disclosed. The 3D rendering apparatus determines a vertex for a first shading from among vertices of a 3D model based on characteristic information of the 3D model, performs the first shading on the determined vertex, determines a pixel area for a second shading based on reference information indicating whether the first shading is applied to at least one vertex comprising the pixel area, performs the second shading on the determined pixel area, and generates a rendered image based on the first shading and the second shading.
