摘要： A heated volatile dispenser and a volatile carrier for use therewith are disclosed. The volatile dispenser has a closed heating chamber having ceiling and exit vents. A fuel burner is contained within the heating chamber, and a carrier holder is positioned over the fuel burner. The carrier holder holds a volatile carrier in a location above the fuel burner such that hot gases from the fuel burner pass the carrier holder and directly heat a volatile carrier held thereby. The volatile carrier may be held in an edge-on orientation with respect to the flow of hot gases, or transversely with respect to them. The volatile carrier has an inward end that has a cross-sectional profile made to be complementary to that of an insert slot through which the volatile carrier must be inserted for use. An alternative embodiment is shown that uses a candle as a fuel burner. A kit is shown that includes a candle and a volatile carrier that are designed to be exhausted at the same time so that the candle's consumption serves as a use-cue for the volatile carrier. Methods of dispensing volatiles are disclosed.

摘要： A spray dispensing package comprising: an outer shell; and a refill cartridge that fits within the outer shell. The refill cartridge includes a spray container which has a body and a spray valve which includes a valve stem. The refill cartridge has a base, and a spray nozzle, and the spray nozzle is fitted over the spray container in fluid communication with the valve stem. The spray nozzle is also attached to the can body with a sufficient range of motion to allow the spray valve to be actuated when pressure is applied to the top surface of the shell. The shell has a top surface and an opening in the top surface to receive the spray nozzle such that a spray can exit the spray nozzle to the atmosphere and such that the shell is supported by the refill cartridge. The shell also has guide surfaces which cooperate with the refill cartridge to allow the shell to slide smoothly relative to the refill cartridge when pressure is applied to the top surface of the shell.

摘要： A fluid control valve which has a deformable valve member with a fluid passageway therethrough. The fluid passageway is closed by a pressure-exerting member. Initial actuation of the valve by pressure on an actuator assembly compresses a spring which moves the pressure-exerting member away from the deformable valve member, thus allowing the fluid passageway to open. The fluid control valve also having a base portion containing a tortuous path air channel. When the base portion is fitted against a neck plug of a reservoir, a vent opening in the neck plug opens into the air channel of the base, allowing air to enter the reservoir while preventing liquid from leaking out of the reservoir should the reservoir be tipped over.

摘要： An insect bait device for exterminating crawling insects is disclosed. The device comprises a housing that includes substantially identical first and second housing portions. The housing portions, when joined together, define means for entry into the device by an insect. An absorbent pad impregnated with an insecticide composition is removably retained in one of the housing portions; or such a pad is removably retained in each of the first and second housing portions to provide an insect bait device which may utilize either of its housing portions as its base. A method of manufacturing the insect bait device as well as a preferred insecticide composition are also disclosed.

摘要： A fragrance sampling display for retail environments is disclosed. The sampling display may include a dock having a removable faceplate and sidewalls. The dock may include one or more receptacles and one or more scent modules, wherein each scent module is associated with and partially inserted into only one of the receptacles. The scent modules may be removably disposed in the corresponding receptacles by retractable cords. Each of the scent modules may include a different volatile active corresponding to a different fragrance product and vent holes to facilitate passive emission of the associated fragrance. The vent holes may be configured so as to be substantially sealed while the associated scent module is in its respective receptacle.
