    摘要: A transverseless ship has at least its side portions and bottom portion comprised of a double hull construction which comprises an inner hull plating and an outer hull plating connected together only by transverse bulkheads and a plurality of connecting longitudinal members fixed to the bulkheads. The bottom portion of the ship has a space defined by at least two optionally selected connecting longitudinal members and divided by a partition into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The upper chamber is adapted in its entirety to pass a fluid therethrough. With this structure, external forces acting on the ship are delivered from the connecting longitudinal members to the transverse bulkheads to prevent the inner and outer platings from buckling. The absence of reinforcing transverse members intersecting the connecting longitudinal members assures automatic welding operation with greatly improved efficiency. Since the space defined by the connecting longitudinal members is utilized as a fluid channel, there is no need to provide additional fluid transport piping.

    摘要: With a storage tank temporarily held in the correct position, an abutment plate is applied to the lower surface of each of support chocks projecting from a plurality of places circumferentially of the storage tank toward a support deck and in this condition such adjusting plates are temporarily fixed at the support deck as by bolts. A molding flask for preventing the outflow of resin material is placed to surround each abutment plate. Subsequently, a liquid resin material which, upon setting, becomes resistant to pressure and low temperature is poured into a space surrounded with the molding flask between the abutment plate and the support deck. After the resin has set, the storage tank is in the correctly installed condition supported by a support block formed of the resin. The upper surface of the support block serves as a slide surface provided by the abutment plate.

    摘要: A support deck extends on a level above the bottom of a hold of a vessel carrying low temperature liquified storage spherical tanks, from bulkheads of the hull so as to surround such spherical tanks, while a horizontal support ring projects from the outer surface of the spherical tank and is supported on the support deck through support chocks. The circular inner peripheral edge of the support deck is supported by brackets erected on the bottom plate of the hold and radially extending toward the bulkheads or by columns erected on the bottom plate of the hold. In one construction, the inner peripheral edge of the support deck has an annular girder attached to the under side thereof and such girder is supported by brackets or columns. Further, in another construction, arcuate girders are provided only in regions close to longitudinal or transverse bulkheads and supported by brackets, and adjacent girders are interconnected by an arcuate leg plate erected on the bottom plate of the hold.

The absence of reinforcing transverse members intersecting the connecting longitudinal members assures automatic welding operation with greatly improved efficiency. Since the space within the double hull is utilized to provide fluid channels, there is no need to provide additional fluid transport piping. The docking bracket provided under the fluid channel prevents the bottom portion from deforming when the ship is supported on blocks within a dock.

    摘要: A ship having at least its side portions and bottom portion comprised of a double hull construction consisting of an inner hull plating and an outer hull plating connected together solely, except for transverse bulkheads disposed in spaced apart relation in the lengthwise direction of the ship, by a plurality of connecting longitudinals fixed to the bulkheads, at least one of the connecting longitudinals having anti-buckling means extending in the lengthwise direction thereof and tripping means extending in the widthwise direction thereof. According to this arrangement, external forces exerted on the ship may be transmitted through the connecting longitudinals to the transverse bulkheads so that the inner and outer hull platings may be protected from buckling. The absence of transverses crossing the longitudinals considerably facilitates the automatization of welding operation. Furthermore, the fact that at least one of the connecting longitudinals has anti-buckling means extending in the lengthwise direction thereof and tripping means extending in the widthwise direction thereof assures that the longitudinals, or the inner and outer hull platings connected thereby will be more positively prevented from buckling.
