    摘要: A document illuminating system includes a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in an array, a reflective element which guides light emitted from the light emitting elements to a document read area of a certain width and length. The reflective element includes first to third reflective portions. The second reflective portion includes one or more planar reflective faces and is disposed so that the reflective faces reflect light from the light emitting elements to one or both of the first and third reflective portions without other reflective elements. The first and third reflective portions each include one or more planar reflective faces and are disposed so that their reflective faces oppositely illuminate the document read area together by reflecting light from one or both of the light emitting elements and the second reflective portion to the document read area without other reflective elements.

    摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a for-still-document contact glass serving as a reading face for a placed document, a for-moving-document contact glass serving as a reading face for a document conveyed by an automatic document feeder, and an optical scanner unit to move in a scanning range of the for-still-document contact glass back and forth in a sub-scanning direction to scan the document. The optical scanner unit moves to a scanning range of the for-moving-document contact glass and scans the document in a static manner when the document is conveyed in an automatic manner, and the optical scanner unit includes a contact image sensor, a carriage that holds the contact image sensor in a movable manner in the sub-scanning direction, and a pair of end sliders arranged on both ends of a plane facing the reading face in a longer-side direction of the optical scanner unit.

    摘要: In a lighting device, a light source emits light. A second sandwiching member includes a second opposed surface opposing a first opposed surface of a first sandwiching member. The first sandwiching member and the second sandwiching member sandwich the light source in such a manner that the light source is detachably attached to the first sandwiching member and the second sandwiching member. A reflection member is provided on the first opposed surface of the first sandwiching member and the second opposed surface of the second sandwiching member to reflect the light emitted by the light source toward an irradiation region on an original document sheet. A positioning member is provided in the first opposed surface of the first sandwiching member and the second opposed surface of the second sandwiching member to position the light source with respect to the reflection member.
