摘要: In one example, an apparatus includes a transparent platen to receive a document to be scanned. The transparent platen includes a scan line, an ingress edge positioned prior to the scan line in the document path, and a chamfered egress edge positioned subsequent to the document path. A light source is positioned to illuminate the document with light while the document passes across the scan line, and a focusing mechanism is positioned to focus a portion of the light that is reflected by the document onto a sensor that senses the portion of the light.

摘要: An information reading device that optically reads information recorded on an information recording medium may include a transparent placement member; a first illumination light a second illumination light a first optical system to read information on the lower surface of the information recording medium; a second optical system to read information on the upper surface of the information recording medium; and a cover member. The second optical system may include a reflection mirror. A medium disposition part may be formed by the placement member and the cover member. The upper surface portion and the side surface portions may be transparent. The second illumination light may be disposed on outer sides of the medium disposition part in the left-right direction. Light emitted from the second illumination light and transmitted through the side surface portions may be irradiated onto the upper surface of the information recording medium placed on the placement member.

摘要: An image reading device includes: a sensor module having a light source and a plurality of sensors; a white reference plate; and an image processor that generates correction data to be used for shading correction and performs the shading correction on image signals, using the correction data. The light source is configured to switch between at least a first luminous intensity and a second luminous intensity lower than the first luminous intensity. The image processor acquires intermediate data by causing the plurality of sensors to acquire an image signal of the white reference plate illuminated with the second luminous intensity, generates black correction data, based on the intermediate data, and performs the shading correction, using the black correction data, so that a density unevenness, in an image, caused by interference between image signals from the plurality of sensors.

摘要: There is provided a document forgery detection system adapted to have an advanced level of document verification and scanning structure against forgery, whereby the documents gets verified by various verification methods. The forgery detection system comprises a scanning device adapted to scan the document for verification and to compare the scanned image to an original image of the document stored in a remote server associated to a relevant authority. The forgery detection system comprises a verification device adapted to receive and secure the document in place in an angle adjustable configuration, project visible and ultraviolet light on the document for exposing visible light and ultraviolet light exposable embedded marks within the document and reflect these marks to a display in optical communication with the operator. The verification device comprising a magnifier with a visible light lens and a red lens for enabling visualization of embedded marks within the document.

摘要: An image reading device includes: an FB glass; a sensor module having a light source and a plurality of sensors; and an image processor that generates correction data to be used for shading correction and performs the shading correction on image signals by using the correction data. The plurality of sensors is arranged in a main scanning direction and is configured to form an image signal on a single line. The image processor acquires second black data by causing the plurality of sensors to acquire an image signal of a reference sheet placed on the FB glass with the light source turned on, and generates black correction data based on the second black data. By performing the shading correction by using the black correction data, the image processor corrects density unevenness, in an image, caused by interference between image signals from the plurality of sensors.
