摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a process cartridge, a toner storage, and a toner supplying unit. The process cartridge includes an image bearing member, a developer container, a developer bearing member, and a pair of side plates. The developer container includes a toner inlet mounted at a predetermined position on one of its top surface. The pair of side plates are arranged in parallel and separated by a predetermined distance which determines a predetermined longitudinal width of the process cartridge and configured to support the components in the process cartridge.

摘要： A charging unit, used for an image forming device, is provided, which comprises a conductive base, and a single-layered resistant layer, covering on a surface of the conductive base. The charging unit is in contact with an electrified body, and by applying a voltage to the conductive base, a charging process is performed in a contact charging manner. Furthermore, the single-layered resistant layer has a thickness equal to or below 0.7 mm, and has a surface resistance between 1×103 (Ω/□) and 1×1015 (Ω/□). Therefore, a charging roller can be made with a very simple structure of the single-layered resistant layer surrounding the core metal, so that a cheap conductive roller can be provided. In addition, the charging unit can be spaced from the electrified body by a small gap and the resistant layer can include nylon.

摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a photoconductive drum provided with a photoconductive layer on its surface. A charger uniformly charges the surface of the drum while an exposing unit exposes the charged surface of the drum to thereby form a latent image on the drum. A developing device develops the latent image with toner by feeding the toner to the drum to thereby produce a corresponding toner image and collects residual toner left on the drum after image transfer. An image transferring device transfer the toner image from the drum to an intermediate image transfer body. An air conditioning unit sends dehumidified, air-controlled air to a space around said photoconductive element.
