摘要: A reading apparatus to convey a document set on a document tray and to read an image of the conveyed document includes a control unit and a determining unit. The control unit performs lifting control for lifting the document tray in a case where a first condition is satisfied and performs lowering control for lowering the document tray in a case where a second condition is satisfied. The determining unit determines whether a predetermined period elapses after the lifting control of previous time is started. The control unit does not perform the lowering control even if the second condition is satisfied in a case where the determining unit determines that the predetermined period does not elapse.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a first discharge path that discharges a sheet and a second discharge path different from the first discharge path. An angle difference between a direction in which the sheet is discharged in the second discharge path and a conveyance direction of a conveyance roller is less than an angle difference between a direction in which the sheet is discharged in the first discharge path and the conveyance direction of the conveyance roller. The printing apparatus includes a control unit that discharges the sheet on which the image is printed using the second discharge path even in a case where an instruction to print an image indicates discharging the sheet to the first discharge path, if the sheet conveyed by the conveyance roller is a sheet having a thickness equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a stacking unit, an access detecting unit, a malfunction detecting unit, a counting unit, and a process deciding unit. The stacking unit receives, as stacked, a recording material. The access detecting unit detects an access to the stacking unit by an operator. The malfunction detecting unit detects that a conveyance malfunction of the recording material has occurred on a conveying path guiding the recording material supplied from the stacking unit. The counting unit counts, after the access detecting unit detects an access to the stacking unit by the operator in a state that the malfunction detecting unit does not detect that the conveyance malfunction has occurred, the number of the conveyance malfunction detected by the malfunction detecting unit. The process deciding unit decides a process to address the conveyance malfunction based on the number of the conveyance malfunction counted by the counting unit.

摘要: An image forming system includes: an image forming unit that forms a toner image on a sheet; a post-processing unit that performs post-processing to the sheet; a conveying unit that conveys the sheet from the image forming unit to the post-processing unit; a discharge member that is arranged between the image forming unit and the post-processing unit in a sheet conveying direction, and discharges static electricity from the sheet conveyed by the conveying unit; a voltage applying unit that applies to the discharge member a discharge voltage for discharging static electricity from the sheet; and a control unit that accelerates a conveying speed of the sheet when the discharge voltage is applied by the voltage applying unit, and controls the conveying unit to vary acceleration timing for accelerating the conveying speed of the sheet in accordance with a type of the post-processing.

摘要: A method of self-adaption adjustment for post-printing treatment including steps of S1: printing a plurality of identifiers on a paper sheet for positioning actual locations of treatment on the paper sheet; S2: detecting the identifiers on the paper sheet, and locating the actual locations to be treated according to the locations of the identifiers and/or relative locations among the identifiers; and S3: adjusting locations of treatment from a post-printing treatment mechanism to the paper sheet according to the actual locations output in step S2. A system of self-adaption adjustment for post-printing treatment including a printing module, a detection module, a treatment module, a driving module and a post-printing treatment mechanism. The method and system realize the self-adaption adjustment, which effectively solves the problems that an actual value after skewing or stretching or shrinking the actual printing content is inconsistent with a theoretical value of typesetting, thus effectively improving the production efficiency and production quality, which has favorable economic and social benefits. The method and system can be widely applied in various post-printing treatment systems.

The detection portion is disposed at a position where a detection wave emitted from the detection portion is not detected in a condition in which the opening/closing member is closed.
